Fairfield, CT - January 02, 2021

We received an email from the clients asking us to cleanse their newly-bought home of negative energy. They believed there was a suicide in the house and wanted to know if any spirits were present, and if so, to make sure they weren't harmful.

Medium Report:

Author: Chris O'Connor

I knew this case was different from the moment we received it. I knew the homeowners initially wanted a house cleansing and then changed their mind to have us investigate the home as well.

Earlier that day, I received two visions. The first vision was of a female with brunette hair who told me to look at the room above the kitchen. The second vision was of the home, showing me that the walls were saturated with energy of the person or persons who built it.

We arrived at the home and it is currently under renovations. It is a very spacious home. David and I hung around outside, and eventually in the garage, while Eli and Ruby did the initial walkthrough. After a while, David and I moved from the garage into the kitchen.

We investigated four main areas of the home. We started in the kitchen then moved to the master bedroom. We then went to the game room, and then a smaller bedroom where the homeowner sleeps while he works on the renovations.

I was getting visions during these times. I received a vision of a middle-aged man, the one who built the house. He built it as how I would describe it, as a trophy house. This man worked hard to get to where he was, where he was able to build it to his specifications. I got that the man was of middle-European descent. I received visions that the house was ornate and had multiple religious icons in it such as the Madonna and several crucifixes.

I received visions that this man died in the home. He suffered from or died from cancer. I also received visions of hospice workers in the home. The cancer affected his chest and he either had lung cancer or the cancer caused his heart to weaken and he died from a heart attack.

In some visions, this man kept showing me home movies. The first movie was of him and three children: two girls and a boy. The man was telling me that he worked hard, but when it came to his family, he also tried to be a good father. The movie showed the man on his hands and knees with his children riding him, falling off, and getting back on. There was a lot of laughter. The other movies showed birthday parties and Christmas celebrations.

Next, I received a vision of an elderly woman with black lace over her face. She was weeping and inconsolable because she lost a child prior to her death. I believe the man I saw needed me to see this to show what kind of family he belonged to.

There was one item that was brought up by this man. He was pleased to see a part of the house that was renovated and changed from the original part of the home. I feel the man is pleased to see his dream home brought back to its former glory. More than that, he was happy to see a family back in the home.

Our team had the discussion on if the paranormal activity that we experienced along with the visions of the family was residual or intelligent. A residual spirit or spirits don’t know they are dead. They usually live out their lives as if they were still living. If you are in the house, you may experience an unexplained noise of a door opening. These spirits are no harm to the current residents and are simply there.

Intelligent spirits, however, do know they are dead. They often will interact with the current residents. 99.9% of the time, the interaction is harmless, which is the case for this home. The man I encountered in my visions was an intelligent spirit, but he isn’t interacting with the family as you would think in a “normal” paranormal fashion. This man is just passing through. The renovations in the home have caused him to come back to see what was going on his former home. Usually in these types of cases, activity subsides when the renovations do.

We concluded our investigation by blessing the house and setting ground rules for the spirit or spirits that may be interacting with the home and the family. We stopped in each room and were very thorough in our approach.

I would like to reassure the family that there is nothing to worry about. I didn’t feel anything malevolent in the home. If I had, I would have written about it. This report also addresses the homeowner’s frequent illness which could be explained by being exposed to construction dust or it could simply be coincidental. He may just have gotten sick.

I have included a drawing of the man that was shown to me. This may help identifying the spirit. The home is safe. Once the renovations are completed and the family moves in, I suspect any paranormal activity will subside. We are always available if any further activity should arise.

Good luck with the rest of the renovation. Your home is going to be stunning when it is completed.

Empath Report:

Author: David Bray

Prior to arriving at the home, the only knowledge that I had was what the client told me in her initial email. I knew that there was reportedly a death in the house and that the family wanted it cleared of any negative energy or spirits.

When one of the clients arrived, Ruby and Eli followed him into the house to perform preliminary baseline sweeps while Chris and I stayed outside to avoid the possibility of gaining any preconceived notions about the case. During this time, Ruby performed photo and video walkthroughs of the property while Eli received information on paranormal claims, their whereabouts, and simultaneously performed an electromagnetic field (EMF) sweep. These processes are usually done for several reasons and allow us to not only document our initial impression of the state of the house, but also tells us where our equipment might run into possible interference due to higher EMF levels. As stated to the clients, paranormal investigations are done at night to minimize potential cross-contamination of evidence. There are fewer cars on the road, less people using Wi-Fi and other electronics, and overall, less noise in the surrounding vicinity. Although paranormal claims cannot be substantiated by current science, we try to control the environment as much as possible during investigations to rule out as many confounding variables as we can.

Eventually, Chris and I decided to avoid hypothermia and head inside. When I stepped into the garage, I asked, “Do we need to investigate here?” I couldn’t tell if the energy I was picking up on was from the death that happened in the home or if I was sensing the clients' energies regarding the room itself. I made a mental note of it and we moved on to the kitchen.

We hung out in the kitchen for a while and took ourselves on a tour of the home. It’s important for us to understand the layout not only for safety reasons (as we’re walking around in the dark), but also to gain familiarity with some of the noises the house makes. It is far too often that the furnace turning on will incite a person with a belief that their home is haunted. During the tour, I noticed that I had an empathic impression in the garage (as previously mentioned), the master suite, and an upstairs bedroom.

When it came time to start the investigation itself, we decided to perform an EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) and Spirit Box Session in the kitchen. The Spirit Box, as it’s called, scans radio frequencies at a constant rate and gives off the sound of white noise. In theory, it can be accessed by spirits to communicate in real time, but it is essentially up to the investigators to determine whether responses are intelligent or simply auditory pareidolia. During this session, I sensed that there were male and female spirits present. The female was distant, but the male was much stronger. The message I received from him was “messy affair.” My initial impression of this was that his death was messy, possibly from a self-inflicted gunshot wound if he did in fact, commit suicide. But the message could also be referring to something else. As I meditated on it, I felt that this spirit could also be referring to a messy affair within his home life. I believe this individual had financial problems and feared losing the house. I felt a sense of pensiveness and overall worry. Non-psychically, I feel that if that were the case, he would have been devastated. The house is beautiful and quite large and if he built the home, it would have been a dream-come-true to him. The thought of losing your dream home would be tough on anyone.

After the kitchen, we decided to head toward the master suite with the spiral staircase. We did another EVP and Spirit Box Session and sat in silence for a bit to see if we could get audible activity from the spirits. It was in this room that I started to receive the appearance of the male spirit from before. I saw a vision of this man watching others work, as if he were supervising. He kept putting his hand up to his face and brushing around his mouth, particularly when in deep thought. I believe he had either a goatee or a mustache. I also received an image of this man playing pool and being an avid player of the game. However hard I tried though; I could not get his name. Other than my visions, the only other presence I felt during this time was down the hallway. At certain instances, I felt like someone was watching us or looking into the room.

After we investigated the master suite, we headed upstairs to the game room and to check out some of the bedrooms. We were told that the door in the game room seems to unlatch itself, so we started there. Our determination was that it is most likely due to a faulty latch and has a completely logical explanation. Much of our time in the upstairs portion of the house was quiet. There were a few audible noises that we couldn’t explain, but overall, there was not much going on. This concept is not new to us and is common. It seems that over time, our energies will increase a location’s activity until a “steady state” is reached and then it drops off.

We spent some time doing a walkthrough of the house one last time to see if we came up with anything new, but we did not, so we decided it was a good time to perform the house blessing. Chris and I worked together and blessed each room in the house, from the basement and upstairs areas, to the main level and out of the garage. We asked that God watch over the family and protect them – to keep them happy, financially stable, and healthy. We asked that any spirits that were present who meant harm, negativity, or otherwise, leave the property and to never return. Afterward, the house felt peaceful.

I believe that most of the spirits who are in the home are residual, apart from the previous homeowner. You can think of residual spirits as “energy on repeat.” They do not know they are dead, and they exist in a looped continuum. The previous owner is an intelligent spirit, but he does not seem to be interacting with the family in the usual way. It is likely that he is curious about the renovations.

We will give the family recommendations and steps-to-take on all these details, but we are confident that they have absolutely nothing to worry about. The home is safe, beautiful, and will be a comforting presence for them during their time there. In fact, I believe that it is not a coincidence that we were contacted by the homeowners to investigate this case. I think that the previous owner is passing the torch and that the clients and the previous owner’s paths were meant to cross at this time.

Objective Findings:

Photos:
One photo showed a shadow where one shouldn't be, but it is being classified as unexplained.

Audio:
Many Spirit Box responses were noted that had some significance to the case.

Video:
No video evidence was found.

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 2 – Objective findings include evidence of an EVP in direct relationship with a photo or video. The Spirit Box responds to direct questions with relevancy to the history of the residence and/or the occupants (including the paranormal team).

This was an awesome case, to say the least. The house is very large and gave us an opportunity to take some amazing photos and do a thorough investigation. We always had somewhere to go or something to do.

That being said, this case was definitely more of a psychic one. Between Chris and I, we were able to determine the appearance of, and some life details about the previous owner who died in the house. Some of the facts we came up with matched his obituary and what was told to the clients from neighbors.

Our goal was to determine if there was negative energy present and if the previous owner committed suicide in the home or not. I believe we know for a fact that no harmful or malicious energy is in the home. We also closed it down before we left and did not allow any negative energy to stay when we left. Our only qualm is that we can't be sure whether the former owner killed himself or not. We will have to do more research to make that claim accurate.

Plan:

Case Closed

This amazing case is considered closed. We feel that we did our job and we will educate the clients on co-existing with these energies and how to handle any activity that may arise. I believe that once renovations are done, they will find paranormal activity to settle down.

Chris received a phone call and was asked to assist another paranormal team with a case. When they arrived, they were told that the two young daughters were having visitors at night and that one of them saw a woman in the yard before she disappeared into the trees.

Subjective Claims:

Chris:
While doing the initial walkthrough, he believed the activity was linked to the father, not the house.

Objective Findings:

Photos:
No photographic evidence was found.

Audio:
No audio evidence was found.

Video:
No video evidence was found.

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 0 - All subjective paranormal activity has been debunked and no evidence has been collected for documentation. There are no objective paranormal findings of any kind.

The younger child was excited to tell Chris what she saw. The older daughter was very timid, shy, and stood behind mom or dad, shielding herself from him.

It is not uncommon for young children to have “visitors” and to see them. Chris chalked this up to being a benign entity and moved on to the older daughter. At first, the child was reluctant to speak to him, so he was glad that Lisa came along. She took her aside and was able to get her to talk about it. This daughter was seeing something at night while trying to go to sleep. She said to Lisa that they don't bother her sister because she is asleep.

After the interview, Chris and Lisa were able to go upstairs and into the girls’ bedroom. The older daughter and mom went along. While Chris was in there, he did not get any sense of anything paranormal. He took the opportunity to speak with the little girl and she gave him some more information about what she saw. He believes what he said to the girl made a significant impact. The next day, he received a post from the mother:

"I wanted to thank you guys from the bottom of my heart for going out of your way to help my family get information about what we have been seeing/feeling. I want to especially thank you for empowering Abby about what she's seeing. She wants to try and see if "they" are gone tonight. The kids love you both especially Mama Lisa :)"

Chris and Lisa could not debunk the clients' subjective claims, but no evidence of any kind was collected either.

Plan:

Case Closed

Chris and Lisa are happy that they made a difference that night, as per the mother's testimony. We hope that their peace of mind continues.

Private Residence

Griswold, CT - March 16, 2020

This was our last case before COVID-19 shut everything down. We received a call from an acquaintance of Chris' that her house was haunted and her daughter was afraid to return home. Apparently, a teddy bear and a blanket moved on its own and weird happenings were occurring. We set out on a weekday evening to investigate.

Subjective Claims:

Chris:
He felt there was the spirit of the client's husband present. He believes he was the cause of much of the activity.

David:
He felt the presence of a female spirit.

Objective Findings:

Photos:
No photographic evidence was found.

Audio:
No audio evidence was found, however the Spirit Box was responsive with regard to the client's husband who has passed.

Video:
No video evidence was found.

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 1 - Subjective paranormal activity cannot be debunked and at least one piece of evidence has been collected and documented, either by EVP or photo/video.

Chris was right about the spirit present. Through our Spirit Box sessions, we determined that the cause of activity was indeed coming from the client's husband who has passed on. We could not find any indication that anything else was amiss or troubling. We found out that the daughter is very invested in watching paranormal TV shows, which could be contributing to her mindset about it. We genuinely do not believe there is anything here to be concerned about.

Plan:

Case Closed

There is nothing negative or demonic in the home. We are very confident about that. We think the client's husband was simply trying to make his presence known and pass along messages. Now that they have been given the tools to listen, they should find greater success in managing the "paranormal symptoms."

Private Residence

Groton, CT - August 08, 2018

Our investigator Melissa had a co-worker who claimed to have spirits in her house. She believed they were negative in nature. She also believed they were afflicting her son, who was still living there.

Subjective Claims:

Chris:
He saw a male spirit that resided in the front bedroom. He did not believe there were any negative attachments to the family or the home.

David:
Sensed a complicated dynamic between the client and her husband.

When we sat down with the client after our visit to talk about our concluding thoughts, she was not very forthcoming. In fact, she texted Melissa afterward to tell her that she thought Chris and myself were frauds.

Our belief is that the client has a problem with men. We believe this due to some of the things we observed from her body language, mannerisms, and interactions with her husband. She did not seem to want to accept or hear anything Chris or I had to say, and would only listen to the women of the group. We believe the client is lonely and her son is getting older. This combination is causing her to lash out.

We did not witness any paranormal activity while we were there and did not catch anything objective for evidence.

Plan:

Case Closed

We have no plans to return. The client was rude to several team members and was not willing to accept what our conclusion was.

Private Residence

Hamden, CT - March 05, 2020

The client called us with claims that she had demons in her apartment. She often heard voices mocking her, carrying out conversations, and scheming. She had her hair pulled, was scratched while sleeping, and could feel a presence in her home.

Subjective Claims:

Chris:
He believed that the man she is hearing is her father. Sensed a childhood trauma or a person that needed forgiveness.

David:
Sensed a childhood trauma or a person that needed forgiveness. He believed there was a male spirit present.

Objective Findings:

Photos:
No photographic evidence was found.

Audio:
No audio evidence was found other than some Spirit Box responses.

Video:
No video evidence was found.

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 0 - All subjective paranormal activity has been debunked and no evidence has been collected for documentation. There are no objective paranormal findings of any kind.

We headed out to the client's apartment in the middle of the week to help her out. It was a stressful experience from the start. We had trouble finding the right building (especially at night) and we had to park separately in designated spots. Once we entered her apartment, we were hit by a strong odor of cigarette smoke. There were no windows open either except in the bedroom, and it was a small apartment.

We sat down at the table and couches, and did our usual routine: preliminary interview, Spirit Box and EVP session, and try to find some answers.

She told us the name of the spirit whom she believed was bothering her and we found out that he has the same name as her father. We also discovered she had an enormous amount of guilt over an event that transpired with her mother. We believe she never forgave her father and never accepted what happened with her mother. It's very evident from her body language and conversations that she harbors these deep-seated emotions, but she refuses to accept them. Her problems are not paranormal in nature, but psychological. Unfortunately, she'd rather have demons than face her mental health issues.

Plan:

Case Closed

The client contacted us several times after indicating that she still hears voices. Although we gave her our recommendation, she blatantly ignored it. She refuses to acknowledge her situation for what it is.

Private Residence

Hampton, CT - August 01, 2016

The client reported claims of an apparition appearing in his bedroom at night. He claimed that a spirit was caressing his face while he was sleeping. He reported feelings of being watched, hearing footsteps, and seeing entities out of his peripheral vision.

Subjective Claims:

Chris:
He believed there was a female attachment between the two clients. He saw an African American man standing by the edge of the property.

Objective Findings:

Photos:
The only legitimate piece of photographic evidence that was obtained was taken during our Q&A session with the spirits of the house. It could be a camera glitch or a trick of the light. We also took a walk to the abandoned tavern next door and felt the presence of several spirits.

Audio:
EVPs were captured during our visit, but most of them were inaudible or didn’t make sense, as they didn’t respond intelligently to our questions. "Princess" is something that was repeated throughout the case.

Video:
No video evidence was found.

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 1 - Subjective paranormal activity cannot be debunked and at least one piece of evidence has been collected and documented, either by EVP or photo/video.

The research phase of this investigation led us to find out that the surrounding properties used to be part of an old train station. We took a walk down the road to check out the area and were able to find where the railroad tracks used to be.

Most of Hampton’s houses are in wooded areas which used to be farmlands. The old, stone walls which bordered the properties are still present. We also found out that the abandoned building down the street from our client used to be a tavern back in the day. The land itself is very old and has a lot of history. This might explain the African American man that Chris saw as we pulled up to the house. We recorded our walkthrough of the land and received inaudible spirit whispering for nearly the entire trip.

On the night of the investigation, an unpredicted storm hit Hampton literally an hour before we were set to begin. It knocked out power lines on one street and one street only – our clients’. We were unable to set up all of our equipment so we had to rely on ourselves and battery-operated equipment.

We started our short night in the upstairs bedroom with an EVP and Spirit Box session. We also tried flashlight communication, but didn’t really get any intelligent responses. There were several types of noise contamination present as well so it was hard for us to focus or get into a meditative state. We’re marking this case with a ‘Grade 1’ rating because we did obtain a couple photos, one of which was actually taken next door, but also because it does validate Chris’ vision of a woman. EVPs were found in the house and on the land. Even if they are inaudible, they are saying something. We were unable to debunk the client’s subjective claims.

Overall, it was a pretty frustrating investigation simply for the fact that the power was knocked out an hour before our arrival. We couldn’t fully test the waters here or use the equipment we wanted to use.

Plan:

Case Closed

This case is closed for now. The client has been given tools to work with in case activity increases. But we have asked the spirits in the house to leave him alone and set ground rules for what they are and are not allowed to do. We have not heard from the client since.

Private Residence

Hebron, CT - October 27, 2018

The clients contacted E.C.P.S. regarding possible paranormal activity in their home. Melissa was designated as the primary contact for the case and an interview date was planned.

David, Melissa, and Ruby arrived for the preliminary interview to perform a walkthrough of the house/property and to document the clients' claims; seeing shadows, hearing voices, feelings of being watched/followed, mood changes, and prolonged illnesses were reported.

After the interview, the team deemed it necessary to perform an investigation to discern whether the activity was stemming from the clients, house, or property. An investigation date was planned shortly after.

Empath Report

Author: David Bray

My first visit to the clients' home was during the preliminary interview along with Melissa and Ruby. While they sat down with the clients to fill out the questionnaire and gather data, I did the initial EMF sweep and performed a walkthrough of the property. During this time, I gathered a lot of subjective information that I wrote down in my handy notebook – courtesy of Chris.

I started my walkthrough on the upper level of the house (it is a raised ranch style home) and started in the bedroom at the end of the hall. I was told that this was their son’s room, but that he was away for college. The room gave off a peculiar vibe, one that I cannot explain. I wrote down that it had a “weird” energy and moved on. The rest of the upper level did not give any significant indication that anything malevolent was present, and I could not initially go into the living area, as that’s where the interview was taking place and I wanted to avoid hearing any information about the history or claims of the house.

I proceeded downstairs and was immediately hit by a strong, sweet smell – almost a perfume. I got the sense that the house “changes” at night for whatever reason and moved into the master bedroom. In the master bedroom, I received a vision of the female client struggling to fall asleep at night, which was later confirmed. Apparently, her husband wakes up at night and acts mean and/or irritable toward her, but he never remembers the events. I also wrote down that there was an object in the home that either needed to be removed or simply moved someplace else.

After my walkthrough of the house, I took myself outside to investigate the property. Immediately, I noticed the land had a very Native American feeling to it. It was clearly old land. It didn’t seem harmful, but I did note that something was odd about the border to the property. I later asked the female client if neighbors walk their dogs down the street, only to stop at their border, turn around, and go back. She confirmed. There was also a Native American man present, but he didn’t want to communicate with me. I also noticed a tree on the property that gave off a strange feeling when I placed my hand on it. Was it used for something in the past? I didn’t know at the time, so I moved on. While outside, I also received several names. The first name I got was a So- sounding name, my guess was “Sophia,” and the other was “Thomas.”

Once back inside and after the interview, I began asking the couple questions regarding the information I got from my walkthrough. I asked which of them sees or saw a “shadow or blob figure.” The husband confirmed it was him. I also wrote down that someone was having money problems, and at first no one admitted to it, but they were indeed having financial struggles. I asked them if a So- name was relevant and found that the previous owner’s name was in fact Sophia, and their daughter’s name was Sondra. I also received an image of a little boy while talking to the husband, that I wrote down as an observation in my notebook.

Fast forward to the investigation and during an energy session with Chris, I received a vision of the object that I believed to be in the house: an oriental figurine.

Medium Report

Author: Chris O'Connor

Our team met up prior to arriving at the clients' home on the night of the investigation. I had not been to the home yet, and I didn’t have any information about the case. I received a vision of a man while on my way to the meeting place. I also received the man’s name: Daniel. He appeared as an adult and shared a memory from when he was a young child, around ten.

On my way to the client’s home, I received a message from my spirit guide letting me know that this was not about a spirit visiting the home, but rather about an item in the home that was holding onto energy from the past and creating the issues for the client.

We all arrived at the clients' home and did our meet and greet. At this point, I realized that the man from my vision was not attached to the home, but to the male client. I showed him the picture I drew of Daniel and gave him his name. Daniel is his brother who had recently passed.

The memory that Daniel shared with me was of him being in a locked car. The car was old or described as vintage in our present time period. Daniel showed me him banging in on the window, calling out to his mother to come get him. When I shared this vision with the male client, he confirmed that he did this to his brother. Daniel also stated that he would often get in his brother’s way. The husband confirmed this information.

Subjectively, I was focused on this object that was creating the activity. I was getting a vision of a figurine approximately 8-10 inches tall and made from porcelain or glass.

Dave and I did an energy session in the son’s bedroom. The female client's son is a skeptic. The energy in his room was that he didn’t want to believe, but quietly he did. He does not let his mother know of the activity that he has gone through. He feels that if he does not give the entity attention, it will go away.  During this session, Dave and I discovered which object was creating the activity. The porcelain figurine was Asian -- a Chinese or Japanese doll. The session also showed us that the figurine was slightly hidden, and that the energy attached to it wanted it to be brought forward and displayed more prominently.

Immediately after the session, I went to a curio cabinet located in the living room. There, partially hidden near the back of a high shelf, was an oriental doll matching the one in my vision. I let the clients know that I am not sure that this is going to reduce the activity, but the energy source attached to the doll wanted it brought forward. She moved the doll to the front of the shelf, where it was readily visible.

There are many items in this home that are holding energy. Theoretically, objects can hold on to the previous owner’s energy. To the best of my abilities, I did not feel that any of the objects in the home had negative or demonic attachments.

I believe someone from the female client's family was coming forward as well. She also may be attached to one of the items in the home. I was receiving that there was a disagreement with one of her choices, but this has to be verified. The disagreement had something to do with religion – cultural or social differences. There were either unresolved issues, or one of the items in the house was an attempt to reconcile the differences.

One way to reduce the activity would be to cleanse the home and the items within the home. A sage or Palo Santo cleansing should suffice. Education and suggestions on how to co-exist with these energies would also be beneficial; both clients would benefit from reassurance that all is well.

As for Daniel, the brother -- he pops in from time to time, usually when the brother needs him or is thinking of him.

Subjective Claims:

Ruby:
In the master bedroom, she felt a sharp jab in her right lower back above her right hip. Chris then entered the room and asked why the team was talking about her being poked in the back; he'd just gotten a vision of someone being attacked in the back with a tomahawk. Without revealing this to the client, she told Ruby that one of the health problems she feels certain is connected to the house is that she gets pain like a sharp sting in her back near her right hip, and that progresses to a numbing feeling all down her leg.
She felt uneasy near a particular tree in the side yard. In the backyard, she got the feeling of a conflict having to do with religion, perhaps dating back to the 16th or 17th century.

Objective Findings:

Photos:
No photographic evidence was found.

Audio:
Spirit Box activity was the only noted form of audio evidence.

Video:
No video evidence was found.

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 2 – Objective findings include evidence of an EVP in direct relationship with a photo or video. The Spirit Box or other item responds to direct questions with relevancy to the history of the residence and/or the occupants (including the paranormal team).

This case was more about the oriental figurine found in the home than the actual paranormal activity itself. The figurine ended up being from her mother and it was in a cabinet in the living room. However, the figurine was placed in the back behind some other decorations. We had her bring the figurine forward so it’s more noticeable.

Most of our evidence was contaminated unfortunately. The clients stayed in the home with us during our investigation and much of their walking around and conversations were caught on our devices. Therefore, we were very limited on actual evidence. It wasn’t until we all performed a Spirit Box Session in the master bedroom that we got some intelligent responses.

We strongly believe that the activity is due to a combination of old, historic land and the clients' relatives that have passed on who are trying to give their messages.

Plan:

Case Closed

For now, the case is closed. If activity continues to increase or spike, then we will head back out. We passed the messages on that the spirits gave us, and educated them on how to live with the spirits in the home/on the land.

Douglas Library of Hebron

Hebron, CT - October 27, 2018

E.C.P.S. had previously given a presentation at the Douglas Library of Hebron, and the turnout was better than expected. Because of this, the staff invited us back to perform a full investigation, as there were claims of paranormal ongoings.

The Douglas Library of Hebron was a fun case. The night we arrived, it was pouring rain and storming. Needless to say, we got soaked. Immediately upon entering the children's area (which is upstairs), I received the sense that someone was watching me. To me, I believed it was a little girl. Funny enough, Chris picked up the same feeling later on that night.

We started in the main area on the second floor, but weren't getting much. Our cameras weren't showing anything abnormal and our recorders weren't picking up anything either. We tried doing an EVP session on the older side of the building, but to no avail. It was quiet.

When we did our investigation of the children's area, we finally got some intelligent Spirit Box responses. We experienced a lot of subjective events, but we can't draw those up to anything objectively. We believe we were communicating with the little girl from earlier. She liked to visit the library. She felt safe there.

Unfortunately, we couldn't investigate the downstairs area of the library. Due to the storm, it flooded while we were there. It's a damn shame too because we felt like we could have gathered a lot of information down there.

Plan:

Case Closed

We loved every second of this investigation. If the library wants us back, then we're there. But for now, the case is closed. Paranormal activity is probably occurring, but it's minimal. There's nothing for them to worry about.

Gay City State Park

Hebron, CT - January 16, 2019

At our presentation at the Hebron Library, we were approached by a man who was filming a documentary about Gay City State Park. He asked us if we would be willing to investigate the park and share our thoughts with him for the film. We agreed and set out there on a sunny, but cold morning.

Subjective Claims:

Chris:
He received a vision of a family lost due to a fire. He felt there were Native American interactions with early settlers. He believed there was a tragedy with a factory or mill.

David:
He felt there were Native American spirits present. He sensed there was a fire, most likely occurring to a mill by the river. He got a vision of a young boy drowning in the lake.

We enjoyed our visit to Gay City State Park and we thank our friend for having us out. Unfortunately, it was a very cold day and none of the ice in the entire park was melted. Therefore, we ended up barely able to traverse the landscape. It took us what felt like hours to walk half a mile to the lake. The good news is that we caught some great bloopers of us taking some tumbles. The important part is that we saved our coffees though.

When we arrived at the lake, several of us noted that we believed someone drowned there. This was confirmed by our friend. We wanted to explore the other side, but the ice made it impossible at the time.

At the river, we saw the foundation of an old mill. It was fascinating for us to be able to envision the workers there, and all that came with it. We wanted to hang around for longer, but realized it would take us another 30 minutes to get back to the car with all our equipment. There's definitely more to the story here, and the park is rich with history. I urge anyone reading this to check out any documentaries on YouTube about the park.

Plan:

Case Closed

We'd love to return to Gay City State Park, but maybe when it's a little warmer. We are confident we can find more answers with a return visit.
