Private Residence

Ledyard, CT - September 01, 2016

The client reported several different claims. He would be asleep in his bedroom and would hear his name being called from upstairs. He saw a face appear in a shower curtain and frequently heard footsteps in the house, even though he lives alone.

Subjective Claims:

Chris & David

Chris:

Before the investigation, he received a vision of the house.

Upon meeting the client, an elderly woman presented herself. She stood on his right side.

While investigating the basement, he received a vision of clowns laughing along with a “creepy clown.”

He wrote down the names “Elizabeth” and “Bette.”

David:

No subjective claims of any kind.

Objective Findings:

Investigators: David Bray, Chris O'Connor, Melissa Whited

Photos:

No photographic evidence was found.

Audio:

Several intelligent EVPs were captured.

Video:

No video evidence was found.

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 1 – Subjective paranormal activity cannot be debunked and at least one piece of evidence has been collected and documented, either by EVP or photo/video.

From the moment we were contacted by the client, we thought this case would be huge. In the months prior, Chris began receiving visions. Whenever this happens, it usually means something serious or important is going on and needs to be addressed. The house was a decent size too, so we knew we needed to bring an extra investigator and as it just so happened, Emily was in town. We set out for the investigation on September 1, 2016.

Throughout the night, not much happened. Several attempts were made to communicate using Spirit Box or EVP, but they were too sporadic. Some intelligent responses were bleeding through, but the logical and skeptical sides of us could chalk them up to probability factors. However, this case proved to be significant for Chris and the client. As it turns out, Chris had a vision of clowns while investigating the basement. This vision was validated when the client told us about his great aunt who was involved in theater and collected anything clown-related. Some of these items were also in the home. He showed us a picture of her and Chris confirmed that it was the woman who presented herself when we arrived. The picture was labeled “Bette.” Chris opened his sketch pad to the woman he drew and labeled “Elizabeth and Beth.” The client was shocked as the picture strongly resembled his sister Elizabeth, but revealed that they call her Beth.

Overall, not much evidence was found other than a few EVPs and some intelligent Spirit Box responses. Most of the team had no subjective claims of any kind. We believe that this case was all about Chris delivering a message to the client. His great aunt wanted him to reconnect with his sister and it is important to her that this is done. It is also interesting to note that the visions Chris received before the investigation happened while he was in New York. As it turned out, the great aunt frequently performed in New York and the sister currently resides there.

Plan:

Case Closed

There is no plan of action as this case is considered closed. We feel that the message that the client needed to receive was, and our part in the story has passed.

Private Residence

Madison, CT - October 04, 2019 & November 16, 2019

The client emailed us requesting an investigation at her historic 1700s home in Madison, CT. She was selling the home and wanted us to try and piece together some of the history. She had personal experiences during her time there and wanted to see if our claims matched anything she had witnessed. This case was what we like to call a 'validation case.' We were essentially called in to validate historical information through paranormal means.

Subjective Claims:

Chris & David

Chris:

Prior to the visit, he received a vision of the home and drew it in his notebook.

He believed the spirit of a young girl and an older male would interact with the residents.

He believed the patriarch of the home had an odd name that began with the letter 'A.'

He thought there was a female attachment to the guest of the homeowner.

He had a vision of one of the families that lived in the home around the early- to mid-1900s going through a funeral. A man was laid out in the front room with the fireplace.

The young man's [who was laid out] son was crying and being consoled by his mother. His name was Daniel.

David:

He received the names of several of the original family members from the 1700s including: Eunice, John, Sarah, and Margaret.

He received a vision of Eunice standing at the bottom of the stairs in the old section of the house. It was early morning hours and she was wearing a Victorian or Colonial-type dress.

He saw John in a Civil War uniform and believed he died during the war.

He saw a woman's shadow standing behind him in the front room, but could not debunk it.

He saw a vision of a family huddling together by the fire around Christmas time during a harsh winter: most likely a blizzard.

Objective Findings:

Investigators: David Bray, Chris O'Connor, Ruby L., Eli Freund

Photos:

No photographic evidence was found.

Audio:

A little girl's voice could be faintly heard on our recording devices, but the words were inaudible. We also captured the voice of an older male, but that too was inaudible.

Video:

No video evidence was found.

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 1 – Subjective paranormal activity cannot be debunked and at least one piece of evidence has been collected and documented, either by EVP or photo/video.

We want to start by thanking the homeowner for having us out not only once, but twice. She was fantastic and very accommodating.

Our first investigation did not necessarily go as planned. It took us a couple hours to get activity going, or rather, to start getting answers. We began hearing a whistling sound, but could not figure out where it was stemming from. We also could swear we heard a cat meowing all night, but there were none there.

The names I received all matched the original family that owned the home back in the 1700s. As it turns out, the home is already known as a haunted residence. Apparently, the vision of Eunice that I received is a common sighting. She is known to stand at the bottom of the stairs in her Colonial dress and stare out the window in the early mornings. Eunice died giving birth to Margaret, and John was Eunice's son, who died in the Civil War. Pretty crazy!

Shortly after we started attaining information, the homeowner and her guest came home. We therefore had to stop the investigation due to possible contamination, but our subjective evidence was confirmed.

The second investigation unfortunately did not provide many more answers. We think this case was more about validating the homeowner's feelings of spiritual activity in the home, and we feel we did that. We had plenty of personal experiences in the home and do believe it holds spirits. They aren't mean or malevolent in any way, and are part of the home's history.

Plan:

Case Closed

For now, this case is closed. We feel we did our part in validating the home's history through paranormal means and we wish the homeowner the best of luck selling!

Private Residence

Meriden, CT - June 07, 2019

The clients called us with an urgency to come out to their home. According to the couple, they currently lived with his parents and had a separate space for themselves in the basement. He considered himself to be a practicing Wiccan and picked up the interest or belief from his girlfriend. The couple claimed to be harassed by a figure who would peer out from behind the curtain next to their bed who would also pull the male out of bed, watch them, and physically assault them.

Subjective Claims:

Chris & David

Chris:

He had visions that someone in the home brought in negative energy through black magick or conjuring of some nature.

He believed that two males that have passed on visited the house. The younger of the two was not happy with what was occurring in the home.

He had visions of multiple dogs buried in the yard.

David:

He believed the female client was not being entirely truthful with the team.

He received an image of a spider.

He sensed a past trauma or a past occurrence with the female client that was causing some of the issues.

A vision of Papa Legba came to him as a warning, or rather a hint.

Objective Findings:

Investigators: David Bray, Chris O'Connor, Ruby L.

Photos:

No photographic evidence was found.

Audio:

Some intelligent Spirit Box responses were noted.

Video:

A shadow can be seen following the team out of the workshop area of the basement on the infrared camera.

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 2 - Objective findings include evidence of an EVP in direct relationship with a photo or video. The Spirit Box responds to direct questions with relevancy to the history of the residence and/or the occupants (including the paranormal team).

This case was one of those cases where there were a lot of dynamics we had to sort through in order to find out the truth. The first thing we noted was that the backyard seemed "off." Second, there were two energies within the home, which made sense. The parents lived upstairs and the younger couple lived downstairs. The parents were Catholic, the couple was Wiccan, but also practiced Voodoo and other Pagan arts. There was a clash of beliefs in the home.

The female client seemed to control, or liked to control things. She tried to take point in conversations with us, but we could tell she was being deceitful or at least, not entirely honest. There was clearly attention-seeking behavior present.

We did note there were odd energies in the home, and the vision I received of Papa Legba confirmed that for us, as well as running into a good-sized spider like the one I saw in my vision. The couple was mixing religious beliefs - dabbling in Wicca, Voodoo, and other arts as they deemed fit. This isn't necessarily bad on its own, but combine it with psychological problems and family dynamics, and it could lead to trouble. We did not find evidence to confirm anything malevolent was there, but our conclusion was that the activity stemmed from the female client.

Interesting note, we found out that the uncle used to live there and he had several dogs that he buried on the property.

Plan:

Case Closed

Sure enough, we later found out that the couple had broken up, and nearly all the activity in the home had ceased. We consider this case closed unless further paranormal issues arise.

Private Residence

Meriden, CT - February 19, 2021

The client reached out to us with concerns for her niece and nephew. The children were seeing apparitions in their bedrooms and hearing voices. At one instance, the nephew heard a man say "Andrew." The client said the kids were scared and refused to sleep in their rooms at night.

Medium Report:

Chris O'Connor

The morning of the investigation, I prepared myself for receiving messages and visions to help me with the coming investigation and ultimately, the family being afflicted by paranormal activity.

The first vision I received was of an older gentleman. Now, usually I don’t receive names, but this time was different, and he told me his name was Raymond. I also received a message that this case may involve one of the clients experiencing a psychokinetic (PK) episode.

Onto the investigation itself, we arrived at the client’s home and went through the introductions. David and I went into the basement while Eli gathered more information from the client. Once he finished, David and I returned upstairs and set up our equipment.

We started in the living room. Raymond, the older man I met in my visions earlier, was there. This time, he was there with his daughter. At first, they were walking around looking for something, but then I received a message that Raymond’s daughter was pre-deceased by her mother. I put two and two together and figured out that Raymond was there looking for his wife. I asked Eli if this interpretation made sense and he concurred. I told Raymond that he won’t find his wife in the home because she isn’t dead. Eli also confirmed that information.

I was sitting on the couch and began to see clouds of smoke in a vision. I mentioned it to the team and Eli stated that the client would smell cigars around the house. I believe the smoke was in connection to David’s visions of the man that passed in the home. When I saw the puffs of smoke, I also received a message: “I wasn’t supposed to die here. I wasn’t supposed to die.” I asked Eli if that message was relevant and he confirmed yet again. I got an inclination that this man was a boyfriend or a male friend of one of the clients. I am going to refer you to David’s findings for more information on what he saw and felt.

After a general walkthrough, we moved the investigation to the nephew's bedroom and then onto his mother's. I didn’t receive anything in his room, but while in her room, I received more on my vision of the man that died in the home. However, David was receiving more information on this person, so please refer to his report for more details.

To summarize, there are two issues going on in the home. The house does have spirits that will interact with the family from time to time. That’s one of them. The other issue is an episode of psychokinesis. PK has been associated with poltergeist activity, but more so, has a greater association with adolescent children.

The PK phenomenon usually occurs with pre-pubescent or pubescent children. Mostly female, but male children seem to be increasing in the past twenty years or so. PK is not limited to just children either: adults can also experience these episodes.

I would like to explain more of what PK is. Psychokinesis, in this instance, is the self-manifestation of paranormal activity. Usually, but not always, the child or children involved have gone through some form of trauma. The trauma could be as great as losing a loved one or as simple as a break-up or struggling with school; the same applies to adults. If the child learned that someone died in the home, that could definitely trigger psychokinetic activity as well.

The most important step to resolving PK is education. The adults in charge of the children, in this case, their mother and aunt, need to understand what is happening and what actions should be taken. Create a positive environment and encourage communication between the adults and the children. The trauma and stress need to be addressed, whatever that may be. This might mean seeking help from a counselor or a psychiatric specialist. In 99% of the PK cases I have been involved in, once the trauma/stress has been addressed, the activity subsides or goes away altogether.

If the activity continues after the family has done all they can do, then please call us back. We will do a more extensive investigation involving the family if necessary. Please know, you are not alone in this. We are always here.

My impression of the spirits that inhabit the home is that they are benign and have no malevolence. They do not wish to do the family harm. If there are any questions about our findings or the PK phenomenon, please contact me.

Empath Report:

David Bray

To be honest, before the investigation, I did not receive any messages, visions, or otherwise. Going into the case, I was a bit concerned since I’m usually able to draw up some kind of energy beforehand. However, my worries quickly dissipated once I got to the house.

As I pulled up in front of the garage, I felt dizzy. I couldn’t explain it, but I made a mental note of it. Something was drawing me toward that area, and I knew going in that I needed to pay more attention to that section of the house. I thought, “Did someone die in there? Was there a traumatic event?”

As we started the investigation, a man came forward. I sensed that he was confused, and he seemed to be in a state of disbelief. I asked him how he died and who he was, but he was too distracted due to his frustration to answer me. I did not get much on his appearance, but his presence was strong. At one point, I asked Eli if this man was a brother of one of the clients, or a relative of some kind, and he told me that this man was a boyfriend.

When we moved into Dallas’ bedroom, I asked the man to let me feel how he died and to give me some answers for the clients. I went into a deep meditation while Chris and Eli performed an EVP session. During this heightened state of awareness, I became sleepy and almost euphoric. I had a slight headache and felt dizzy – much like when I first pulled into the driveway. At the time, I thought I understood enough to come out of my trance and from there, I wrote down my interpretation. Some of the information I wrote was the word “mistake,” and the letters “CO.” When I asked Eli about the validity of my meditation, he confirmed that the client’s boyfriend died from carbon monoxide poisoning in the garage, and that they weren’t sure if it was an accident or suicide. I can’t say for certain what transpired or the surrounding events that took place when this man passed, but throughout the night, we received the response “accident,” and coupled with my writing of the word “mistake,” I believe that he did not mean to die, or rather, should not have died at that time. I hope that by writing this, I am not upsetting anyone for that is not my intention.

As for the other claims in the home, I believe that the children are experiencing psychokinetic (PK) activity, which Chris can discuss further. Often, when an environment is stressful, chaotic, or overly stimulating, people (especially adolescent children), can self-manifest activity and actually make paranormal activity happen. That would explain the various spirits that both children see and interact with and explains why we didn’t get a reading on any of them throughout the night, psychically or otherwise.

Overall, I do not believe that there are any malevolent spirits in the home. We did not get any evidence to indicate that’s the case, nor did we feel any negative spirits during our time there. I think if the family creates an uplifting, positive environment and a form of communication is made between the children and the parents, the claims will subside or dissipate on their own. I believe that the boyfriend who passed in the home was confused because he did not feel it was his time to die, but that his communication with us was proof that he wants the clients to know he is still with them.

Objective Findings:

Investigators: David Bray, Chris O'Connor, Eli Freund

Photos:

No photographic evidence was found.

Audio:

A few intelligent Spirit Box responses were found, but no direct EVPs were noted.

Video:

No video evidence was found.

We headed out to this case on a very icy night in the middle of a snowstorm. We rushed out there due to the concerns for the children. Luckily, the family was able to accommodate us by getting the pets and everyone out of the house for most of the night.

During the investigation, it was pretty quiet. Our EVP session in the living room provided us with more questions than answers and our entire walkthrough provided no evidence at all. Even psychically, we were having trouble coming up with findings. It wasn't until our session in the nephew's bedroom that we started getting some clues as to what was going on. It was there that we pieced together that one of the client's boyfriends passed away in the home, and that a previous owner was also present in spirit. The boyfriend simply wants to give the message that he is still with them, and (we beleive) that his death was an accident, not suicide.

The other issue in the home, with the kids, is psychokinetic in nature. There is a lot of stress, trauma, and chaotic energy in the home and that is creating the perfect atmosphere for the PK activity to take place.

Plan:

Case Closed

For now, this case is closed. We will be giving the clients a process to follow and some education on what is occurring, and activity should subside or dissipate slowly.

The Frosty Mug

New Britain, CT - September 03, 2017

The owner of "The Frosty Mug" reached out to us via email with claims that his New Britain bar was haunted, and wanted confirmation on the matter. We were told some of the history and were shown videos that the client captured on his security cameras. From the looks of it, they were legitimate and not easily explained.

We were able to secure an interview before the bar opened on a Sunday and returned a couple weeks later to perform the investigation. We were allowed access to the entire bar/restaurant after-hours including the basement. We set up equipment in nearly every part of the bar to see what we could capture.

Subjective Claims:

Chris & David

Chris:

Prior to the investigation, he received a vision of a middle-aged heavy-set woman that would frequent the establishment. He drew the woman.

He had a vision of a man with a name beginning with the letter 'G' falling down the basement stairs.

David:

He sensed that a middle-aged woman had a connection with a male military veteran.

Objective Findings:

Investigators: David Bray, Chris O'Connor, Melissa Whited

Photos:

No photographic evidence was found.

Audio:

Several intelligent Spirit Box responses were found that were relevant to the history of the establishment.

Video:

No video evidence was found.

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 2 - Objective findings include evidence of an EVP in direct relationship with a photo or video. The Spirit Box responds to direct questions with relevancy to the history of the residence and/or the occupants (including the paranormal team).

This investigation was a blast. The owner was very accommodating from the start and gave us access to areas that we wouldn't normally have access to. We spent time in the main area, the pool room, the kitchen, the bar itself, and the basement.

To be honest, most of the night was pretty quiet. It wasn't until about three hours in that we started getting Spirit Box responses to our questions. The woman who was coming through told us her name was Marge, who was a heavy-set woman who would frequent the bar in the past. She also had a connection to or relationship with a member of the military. She confirmed to us that she was causing activity and did not mean any harm.

The owner showed us previous "evidence" that another paranormal team received during their own investigation. It was video taken in the basement which showed a full-body apparition for about five seconds - clear as day. The cameraman turns away and turns back, and poof - gone.

We re-watched that footage a bunch of times and we noticed something odd. The apparition had white Nike sneakers, a hat, and what appeared to be a cell phone. In fact, the light from the cell phone screen illuminated the dark-lit basement in the video. Our next step was to re-create the "evidence."

I had Chris stand where the apparition appeared and mimic the exact movements from the video. Sure enough, it matched. The "apparition" was actually someone who came down into the basement and was using their cell phone for light. They took it out, used it, turned it off, put it back in their pocket, and walked back upstairs. Debunked.

When we told the owner how we disproved it, he disagreed claiming that no one else was there except the two investigators who were accounted for in the video. We can agree to disagree, but the surveillance footage he showed us from that same day had him wearing white Nike sneakers. Sadly, they took the footage and ran, posting it in the local newspaper as legitimate evidence of paranormal activity. Another sad day for the paranormal community.

Plan:

Case Closed

Although we disagreed on our opinion of paranormal evidence, we want to thank the owner of "The Frosty Mug" for having us. It was truly a great experience and we wish him all the best with his future endeavors.

Private Residence

Niantic, CT - February 06, 2020

The client called us with urgency claiming that demons were harassing her family. She previously had another paranormal team out several times, but activity wasn't getting any better. We were concerned as children were involved. The claims were of the usual variety: physical attacks, shadows, negative feelings, voices, and more. We headed out there on a weekday evening to investigate.

Subjective Claims:

Chris & David

Chris:

Prior to the investigation, he received visions of two sisters, one nice and the other not so much.

He believed there was self-manifested energy within the home that sometimes presented itself as negative energy.

He heard three loud knocks while investigating the basement.

David:

He believed the paranormal activity was self-manifested.

He thought that a male family member who had passed on was visiting the family.

He heard three loud knocks while investigating the basement.

Objective Findings:

Investigators: David Bray, Chris O'Connor, Ruby L., Eli Freund

Photos:

No photographic evidence was found.

Audio:

No audio evidence was found except for some Spirit Box responses.

Video:

No video evidence was found.

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 1 – Subjective paranormal activity cannot be debunked and at least one piece of evidence has been collected and documented, either by EVP or photo/video.

We headed out to Niantic on a weekday evening because claims seemed urgent and children were involved, and luckily we were wrong. When we arrived, we discovered that the client's boyfriend was present, something we were not aware of. The client also had two daughters, one who seemed to be defiant and the other who seemed to be determined. This is most likely where Chris' vision came from.

One of the events that happened that we can't explain is that when Ruby and Eli were talking to the clients upstairs, we were downstairs and heard three loud knocks on the floor above us. Apparently, they heard no such thing and it was in an area of the house where no one was at the time, including any pets. It was loud, and deliberate. Anyway, after a round of interviews, we had them leave and we started the investigation.

Once again, we received no evidence of anything paranormal happening in the home nor did we sense any demonic or malevolent activity. If anything, this was a case of psychokinesis (PK), self-manifested through the two daughters clashing with their mother. The only responses were regarding the client's husband who we found out was murdered. The Spirit Box kept repeating his murderer's name.

Plan:

Case Closed

We gave the clients our findings and offered them a plan on how to address activity, but we did not hear back from them. Case closed.

Private Residence

North Haven, CT - June 12, 2017

The client met Chris while he was receiving a MRI scan. She was one of his MRI technologists. It is quite a funny story, but Chris began reading some of the employees there when the client told him about some issues her mother was having regarding the paranormal.

For years, the mother would wake up screaming, terrified. She claimed to see a man in her room, a little girl, and unexplained lights on a daily basis. She was afraid to be home alone and hated going to sleep at night. We were called in to try and discern whether or not this was indeed, paranormal.

Subjective Claims:

Chris & David

Chris:

He felt the presence of a young girl throughout the house.

He had visions of the property before the house was built. He saw many orchards and farmland.

He wrote down the name “Lillian Rose.” He described the young girl as having strawberry blonde hair, wearing a dress with flowers on it, and wearing a hat. He believed she belongs to the property.

David:

He felt the presence of a young girl throughout the house.

He received the names “Lilly” and “Rose” on separate occasions.

He described the young girl as wearing a dress with flowers on it, white shoes, and wearing a hat.

While setting up the IR Camera in the basement, a children’s toy went off and began talking on its own. He was unable to replicate it or find the toy.

During an energy session, he felt the presence of a young girl close by. She seemed curious, but was hesitant about coming too close.

Objective Findings:

Investigators: David Bray, Chris O'Connor, Melissa Whited

No photographic evidence was found.

Audio:

No audio evidence was found.

Video:

A young girl was captured by our Full Spectrum Camcorder while investigating the basement.

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 3 – Objective findings include evidence of a manifestation (non-orbs) captured by a photo or video. Audible sounds or voices can be heard by human ears and are documented on an audible device.

This was an extremely fascinating case to say the least. It seems that the cases where we have no expectations always manage to be the best ones.

Upon researching the area, we found that the entire area was actually all farmlands and orchards, validating Chris’ vision. We found that the house itself was pretty normal as we did not receive any photographic or auditory evidence of any kind. We did not even think we caught anything at all until we started going over our video recordings. As it just so happened, we missed the evidence the first time around. We were going to rate this case a ‘Grade 0’ based on the fact that we found nothing objective. However, we took a second look as fate would have it and Chris noticed the video evidence posted above, skyrocketing this case to a ‘Grade 3’ rating. The reason we believe this footage is so compelling is because it is not only clear as day, but it validates both the client’s subjective views and our subjective views as well. In the footage, she can be seen peeking out from behind the corner. This is important because of two reasons. First, I was looking for a chair because I was going to try and convince her to sit on his lap, as she seemed to be fascinated with me, but she was being shy (hence peeking out) and wouldn’t come out. Second, Chris was in the room that she was peeking out from and while the footage was caught, he was feeling around the room with his hands because he sensed a presence.

As to what we believe is going on – we believe that the client’s mother has extrasensory abilities. Talking to her led us to believe that she has always had the ability to see and communicate with spirits, but her upbringing deterred her from properly harnessing it. She never had a mentor or was told how to properly use it, leading to fear and confusion. Now that she is getting older, she is most likely losing the ability to control it from a physical perspective. However, we educated the client and her mother on how to deal with spirits when they present themselves and assured them both that there is nothing to be afraid of. We gave them tools to use to stay aware, stay calm, and taught them how to listen for their messages.

Plan:

Case Closed

Just like most of our private residence cases, this one is considered closed unless more issues arise. If everyone in the family does their part, they should be okay as there is nothing malevolent in the house. They are simply spirits of the property who get curious from time to time.
