Private Residence

Wallingford, CT - October 22, 2016

The clients contacted us as more of a means to investigate the possibility on whether or not their home had spirits in it. They would occasionally feel like they were being watched and would hear footsteps in the hallway.

Subjective Claims:

Chris & David

Chris:

He experienced chest pain upon arriving at the property.

During a Circle of Light exercise, the client’s aunt appeared to him with purple butterflies.

David:

He exhibited feelings of being watched while doing a solo basement session.

During an energy session between himself and the client, they witnessed the flashlight on the walkie-talkie abruptly turn off. This was deemed unexplained and could not be debunked.

Objective Findings:

Investigators: David Bray, Chris O'Connor, Melissa Whited

Photos:

No photographic evidence was found.

Audio:

A couple intelligent EVPs were captured during the investigation.

Video:

Footage was caught of the basement door being slightly nudged open. No one was around it at the time and there were no drafts or windows open.

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 1 – Subjective paranormal activity cannot be debunked and at least one piece of evidence has been collected and documented, either by EVP or photo/video.

As stated previously, this case was more of a validation rather than an investigation. Our goal for the night was to find if there were any spirits on the property or not.

When Chris arrived at the home, he was experiencing chest pain. This came back up during our ‘Circle of Light’ energy session. When the client’s aunt came through to him, it was told to us that she died of lung cancer. We believe that this validates his chest pain. Chris also saw purple butterflies which were significant to the client and the relationship to her aunt.

We were unable to debunk whether or not there was legitimate residual activity, but we did catch some intelligent EVPs and the Spirit Box was also active. Because of this and the video evidence we captured of the door nudging open, we are giving this case a ‘Grade 1’ rating. There is further research that can be done on the surrounding properties as well. The land in the area used to be orchards, but is now a wooded region. We believe there are more spirits there that are not necessarily of the house, but of the land.

Plan:

Case Closed

As for right now, this case is currently closed. We feel that we validated the client’s claims of paranormal activity.

Private Residence

Wallingford, CT - August 23, 2018

Julie, of Wallingford, CT, contacted E.C.P.S. via phone call. She had various claims of paranormal activity including seeing shadows, experiencing strong feelings of being watched or followed, electrical disturbances, hearing unexplained tapping or knocking noises, and being touched by an unseen presence. She claimed that forks and spoons were going missing as well. Likewise, her twin daughters also claimed to experience similar activity, with one of the girls having recurring nightmares.

The team was told about a possible object in the home that made Julie feel uncomfortable whenever she tried to take it down. The object in question was in fact, a wind chime that belonged to a previous owner, who might have died on the property.

David and Ruby performed a preliminary interview of the family and property and an investigation date was planned shortly after.

Subjective Claims:

Chris, David, & Ruby

Chris:

While in one of the daughter's rooms, he had a vision of a “gray shape” that seemed to move like how a lava lamp moves. It would be fluent as it moved around the house, sometimes taking on a human appearance.

He had a vision of a middle-aged woman whom was trying to reach someone in the house, but the person wasn’t listening to her. He sensed she was not from the area but had a purpose for being there. She claimed to have died a horrible death and was from the west coast.

David:

During the preliminary interview, he was drawn to a set of rosary beads hanging on the dresser mirror. They were warm to the touch and were rocking back and forth ever-so slightly.

He sensed the presence of a middle-aged male and female in the house.

He felt the woods in the backyard had some significance to paranormal ongoings but did not feel it was related to the case.

The closet in one of the daughter's rooms gave off an indifferent energy.

Footsteps and creaking noises were heard during the preliminary interview.

Ruby:

She heard footsteps and creaking noises during the preliminary interview.

She felt cautious while approaching the main bathroom in the home.

During the interview, she observed a set of rosary beads rocking back and forth.

Objective Findings:

Investigators: David Bray, Chris O'Connor, Ruby L., Melissa Whited

Photos:

No photographic evidence was found.

Audio:

Several EVPs were found, but the highlight was found during the preliminary interview. A male spirit can be heard telling David to "Walk over here," while he was in the hallway. Shortly after, he walked over to the kitchen.

Video:

No video evidence was found.

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 2 – Objective findings include evidence of an EVP in direct relationship with a photo or video. The Spirit Box or other item responds to direct questions with relevancy to the history of the residence and/or the occupants (including the paranormal team).

This case was a difficult one due to many factors. It seems we were destined to struggle from the start. Our guest investigator, Ruby, who joined me on the preliminary interview, was supposed to come with us the night of the investigation but the universe had other plans and she couldn’t make it. However, we figured all would be okay since we also had another guest joining us for the night, a girl named Malina who is currently in school for broadcasting. Once again though, the universe won, and her camera didn’t work when we arrived at the house.

The scene was semi-chaotic upon arrival as well as the client and her family were leaving the house. Equipment set-up became a bit of a hassle since our energies were so jumbled by that point. Not to mention, it was a Thursday night and we all worked full-days. Exhaustion was already setting in.

When Julie and family left, they also left their dog with us. Although sometimes this isn’t a problem, the dog didn’t take kindly to Chris, and barked at him all night. This contaminated a lot of our evidence and made gathering information difficult. We were able to investigate for only two hours or so before the clients returned. In that time frame, we managed to capture enough evidence subjectively and objectively to draw a solid conclusion on what we believed was going on in the home.

Throughout the night, our K2 Meter, flashlights, and Spirit Box all responded intelligently to the spirits present. We gathered that there was a male and a female figure whom were related to one another. The female spirit communicated more than the male. She claimed to be from Oregon and stated that she wanted to “make amends” with Julie (it should be noted that we did receive some conflicting answers to these statements, but the overall evidence points toward our conclusion). We did not receive her name, but the man did ask “Where is John Paul?” We had no recollection of a John Paul either until Julie told us that that is her brother’s name, whom she hasn’t talked to in years.

We also could not directly identify who was stealing utensils in the home, or if the spirit of a former owner was there. Our guess is “no,” since we received no responses and did not pick up anything subjectively on her. The object that was left behind when Julie and family moved in was a set of wind chimes but gave off no negative energy whatsoever.

The set of rosary beads that myself and Ruby were drawn to during the preliminary interview, as it turned out, had a story behind them. They were Julie’s mother’s rosaries, and they were put on her while she was dying. She was living in Oregon, was drinking, and accidentally lit herself on fire – an extremely tragic way to go. This story not only explains why the rosaries were warm to the touch, but also who was in the home. We received definitive verification that Julie’s mother was in fact, the spirit inhabiting the house. We believe she wants to give a message to her daughter and granddaughters, but they aren’t listening to her.

Julie and her mother were not on good terms and it was hard for Julie to believe or accept that her mother could be in the home watching over her. Often, paranormal activity is rooted in deep-seated problems or trauma that are hard to face, but the overall outcome can be a positive one if acceptance and forgiveness are found. Julie also confirmed via listening to an EVP that her father is the male spirit in the house.

The “gray shape” that Chris drew is most likely a psychokinetic manifestation caused by the two daughters in the home, both being 15 years old. Their father is currently away on active duty, and including the mother, there are three feminine energies mixing and churning constantly while he is not present to “balance” out the home.

Plan:

Case Closed

We recommended that Julie write a letter to her mother to get everything off her chest and to either burn it or throw it into the ocean after. She will donate the rosaries to a church and will get rid of the wind chimes left behind by the former owner. Once these steps are done, things should begin to calm down. If Julie can find forgiveness in her heart, her mother will “go away” and will remain solely as a guide when she is in need.

Private Residence

Wallingford, CT - September 24, 2016

The client called us with urgency and claimed that the new home he moved into was haunted. He felt a presence as if he was being watched and also claimed that he was being attacked in the middle of the night, distinctly around 2-3 AM. He told us that his children and his wife witnessed him being pulled off the couch while he was taking a nap and that he had pictures of a hand-shaped bruise on his arm. They would frequently get headaches and the air felt heavy to them. While arriving home from work one day, he discovered that all of the kitchen cabinets were opened. The closet and several doors in the household would seemingly open by themselves as well.

Subjective Claims:

Chris & David:

Chris:

While investigating the basement, he received a vision of an older male who identified himself as an Irish American.

During a “Circle of Light” session, he received a vision of an older man sitting in the living room wondering who we were and why we were in his house.

He heard footsteps coming down the hallway during a “Circle of Light” session.

Him and David were able to successfully transfer visions to one another during an energy session.

David:

He felt the presence of several spirits in the basement.

During the interview, upon investigating the basement, he smelled sulfur.

During a “Circle of Light” session, he heard footsteps coming down the hallway.

Him and Chris were able to successfully transfer visions to one another during an energy session.

Objective Findings:

Investigators: David Bray, Chris O'Connor, Melissa Whited

Photos:

No photographic evidence was found.

Audio:

Several EVPs were captured during the investigation.

Video:

No video evidence was found.

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 1 – Subjective paranormal activity cannot be debunked and at least one piece of evidence has been collected and documented, either by EVP or photo/video.

During the initial interview phase of the investigation, both myself and Melissa smelled sulfur in the basement. Since sulfur is correlated regarding demonic hauntings, this had the team focused and prepared, even more so than usual.

We were able to debunk a couple different claims, such as how some of the doors may be opening or closing on their own or why they were getting headaches and waking up in the middle of the night. As it turns out, the electrical box was in the basement, directly underneath their bedroom floor. The K2 Meter was consistent in reading past 20 mG when we put it on their mattress. We advised them to move their bed and/or change bedrooms entirely.

The client showed us the picture of a hand-shaped bruise on his arm, but by the time he took the photo, the bruise was already faded and mostly healed. Therefore, we cannot determine it as a legitimate form of evidence or say that it was from a paranormal cause.

We’re classifying this case as a ‘Grade 1’ rating only because of the lack of photographic and video evidence. Although we did obtain several EVPs and the Spirit Box was responding intelligently, there is no correlation between them and other evidence. We had subjective experiences ourselves, but we also learned that an older man did die in the house and that he used to sit in the living room. This validated our subjective visions. However, we could not debunk all of the client’s claims either, so this case is put to rest.

We believe that the older man who died in the home was the main cause of activity. He is possibly unaware that he is dead and is therefore causing problems. It is also possible that the client brought an attachment home since he travels for work. Either way, we gave them the education and the tools to use to deal with spirits who may be problematic and before we left, we demanded that the spirits of the home leave or play by the rules.

On the night before Halloween, I had to go back to the home as the family stated that activity was increasing. Chris and Melissa could not go with me as it was 1 AM and they live over an hour away. When I arrived, I found the clients sprawled out and sleeping in the living room. They were clearly shaken by something. I investigated the basement and the rest of the house and performed an energetic cleansing of the home. I said prayers for the family and the place felt lighter when I left.

Plan:

Case Closed

We have not heard back from the client since October of 2016. However, we did discover that some personal issues arose with the family and we are not even sure if they are still living in the home.

Update:

We are unsure if the family is still in the home, but unfortunately, one of the family members is now in prison. Case closed.

Private Residence

Wallingford, CT - February 07, 2019

The client contacted us asking if we could figure out who or what was causing the activity in her home. She had purchased a condo not too long ago and started experiencing strange occurrences.

Subjective Claims:

David & Ruby

David:

He received the name "Rick" along with some information about him: he was about 45-55 years old, balding, he liked mystery, was a friendly visitor, and an admirer of the client.

Found himself experiencing right-sided head pain in the temporal region along with dry, burning eyes.

Ruby:

No subjective experiences of any kind.

Objective Findings:

Investigators: David Bray, Ruby L.

Photos:

No photographic evidence was found.

Audio:

No audio evidence was found.

Video:

No video evidence was found.

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 0 - All subjective paranormal activity has been debunked and no evidence has been collected for documentation. There are no objective paranormal findings of any kind.

The client was a registered nurse who spent most of her time at the hospital. A lot of the evidence she brought to us was from her security camera at home, but we were able to quickly debunk them.

This case was more of a reading as opposed to an investigation itself. As I walked around the home, I received the image of a man, as described in the subjective claims section above. Actually, this man turned out to be the client's uncle who was involved in law enforcement, and is the person who convinced her to become a nurse. The explanation for "liking mystery" and being an admirer were validated.

None of the activity was malevolent in any way and was most likely minor stuff that was caused by her deceased uncle. He was simply trying to say hi and give a message.

Plan:

Case Closed

The client received the answers she was looking for and has all the information available to her to proceed without fear of the paranormal. I recently ran into her at the hospital as she was one of the nurses caring for my father in-law. Small world, but I believe everything happens for a reason.

Private Residence

Waterbury, CT - January 05, 2018

We were contacted by the clients regarding possible paranormal activity in their apartment. They claimed that they were being woken up by a man and a child and would see them moving around corners at night. They seemed to appear as shadows.

Subjective Claims:

Chris & David

Chris:

Weeks before the investigation, he asked Melissa if there was a male suffering from PTSD involved with the case.

On the ride up to the client’s house, he received the names “Stephanie” and “Stacey” and a vision of feathers. At first, they were associated with angels and the message was that the investigation would be peaceful. The feathers then turned from angelic feathers to Native American feathers.

Upon entering the apartment complex, he received a vision of a woman falling down the main stairs.

During the bedroom energy session, the bedroom door opened on its own and he saw a young girl dressed for bed.

He received the name “Carla.”

David:

Upon arrival, he picked up on the energy of an older man with a mustache.

He received the name “Michael” while sitting in the bedroom.

He experienced a severe headache on the left side, shortness of breath (SOB), and anxiety.

Objective Findings:

Investigators: David Bray, Chris O'Connor, Melissa Whited

Photos:

No photographic evidence was found.

Audio:

No audio evidence was found.

Video:

The bedroom DVR caught the door opening by itself on two separate occasions. Although we believe we have debunked how this occurred, we could not replicate it exactly. Therefore, we are classifying this evidence as “unexplained.”

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 1 - Subjective paranormal activity cannot be debunked and at least one piece of evidence has been collected and documented, either by EVP or photo/video.

We headed out to Waterbury on a very icy night, as the roads were terrible. Nonetheless, we made it to the client’s home alive and well and instantly started receiving visions. I picked up on the energy of an older gentleman with a mustache and the letter “M,” which I later determined to be “Michael.”

We performed an EVP and Spirit Box session in the bedroom and received some intelligent responses but did not get much in terms of objective evidence. While meditating, the bedroom door directly behind me began to open on its own. We contributed this to an open window in the kitchen as it was extremely windy that night. However, the door opened a second time as well. Although we were able to debunk how this might have occurred, we could not replicate it exactly. Therefore, it is being considered “unexplained.”

All night, I began experiencing a headache on my left side, shortness of breath, and anxiety. Chris also had a headache on his left side. Come to find out, the client’s mother passed away when she fell and hit the left side of her head. The man with the mustache was named “Maurice,” which explains the “M,” but does not explain “Michael.” Maurice died in the apartment and was a previous tenant. Michael is the client’s son, who lived in the apartment for years.

This case received a ‘Grade 1’ rating because we could not definitively prove or disprove any of the claims. We received no auditory or photographic evidence and the only video evidence we had was the door opening on two separate occasions, which we cannot deem as paranormal in nature. It is likely that whoever is in the home is trying to get a message across to the current owners. They seem to be harmless but are growing impatient and causing more activity.

Plan:

Case Closed

We are still in contact with the client. They have been instructed to listen to the spirits and try to see what messages they want to give. If the spirits do not listen or want to behave, then they can put their feet down and cause the activity to stop should they so choose.

Private Residence

Waterbury, CT - August 24, 2019 & September 21, 2019

The same couple who contacted us about their apartment a year prior contacted us again. They moved to a different area of Waterbury, but were still being afflicted with paranormal activity. They claimed to see demonic faces in the treeline, saw mysterious marks appear on the driveway, and were physically touched and harassed while trying to sleep. It got to a point where they were afraid to even be in the house.

Subjective Claims:

Chris & David

Chris:

There was an older woman that was not happy and was yelling all the time.

There was a negative surrounding made by Native Americans.

There was a living person bringing in negative energy.

An item in the home had negative energy.

A male spirit was affecting the male client.

David:

Determined that the cause of negative energy was most likely stemming from the clients' son.

He believed an item in the home had negative energy attached to it.

Felt a strong Native American presence around the property.

Felt the presence of an older woman.

Objective Findings:

Investigators: David Bray, Chris O'Connor, Ruby L.

Photos:

No photographic evidence was found.

Audio:

Several EVPs were heard, with relevance to the team's visions and client history. The Spirit Box was also very active with intelligent responses.

Video:

Light anomalies can be seen reacting to the group in the garage during a meditation session.

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 3 – Objective findings include evidence of a manifestation (non-orbs) captured by a photo or video. Audible sounds or voices can be heard by human ears and are documented on an audible device.

As you can see above, this case went on for several months. We came to the conclusion that the clients were of sound mind. They were visibly upset at what they were experiencing and wanted help.

Chris and I both received very similar visions and psychic impressions on both the clients and the property. To us, this was validation that we were on the right track.

We determined that the markings on the driveway were most likely already there and that the clients simply didn't notice them before. We discovered more about each client's past and knew that one of them needed to learn how to forgive. That was step number one.

We found the item that we believed was causing some of the activity so we had the clients get rid of it. We also gave them some decor suggestions to increase the positive energy in the home.

During a session in the garage, we caught video of a manifestation reacting to my movement around the toolbox. This was most likely the spirit of the man who used to own the home and was a gunmaker.

We contacted a Native American shaman who advised us on how to deal with that aspect of the case. We bought some items for use in a ritual and had the clients perform it around the bonfire to appease the Native American spirits.

The older woman that was yelling constantly was probably a former tenant who lived in the home. She was a racist and not a very nice person. We advised the clients on how to best deal with her.

Plan:

Case Closed

We finished up the case and feel that we've done all we can do for the clients. They have all the tools necessary to succeed and overcome the activity that has been causing them so much stress and anxiety.

Waterbury, CT - July 28, 2019

A couple called us from their apartment in Waterbury, CT claiming that they were experiencing paranormal activity. They had the usual claims: voices, seeing shadows, feelings of being watched, etc. It seemed like a benign "haunting." They mentioned they found a mysterious symbol on their bedroom wall when they moved some furniture. We set out there to discover the truth.

Subjective Claims:

Chris & David

Chris:

He believed the entire apartment held onto negative energy.

He had a vision of a woman dead in the bathtub.

He received the name "Mona Lisa."

There was an entity that resided in the closet in the back bedroom.

David:

No subjective experiences of any kind.

Objective Findings:

Investigators: David Bray, Chris O'Connor, Ruby L.

Photos:

No photographic evidence was found.

Audio:

One EVP was noted with some random Spirit Box responses.

Video:

No video evidence was found.

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 1 - Subjective paranormal activity cannot be debunked and at least one piece of evidence has been collected and documented, either by EVP or photo/video.

I don't know where to begin with this case. Waterbury is not known to be the nicest or friendliest place in the state, but we had no idea that we'd be investigating in the literal ghetto of the city. When we arrived, we barely had a place to park our two cars since it was a narrow one-way street. I was genuinely concerned with leaving my car outside all night, as I didn't want someone to break into or vandalize it. I believe Chris had to put everything into his truck and take it out of the truck bed.

We walked up to the house and the client said we had to go around back, but not to worry since he had installed security cameras around the entire perimeter. Needless to say, that did not make us feel more at ease.

As we looked around, we couldn't help but feel for the people there. It was poverty-stricken and depressing. Nearly every door in the apartment was busted. When we inquired as to why, they told us that police used to raid the building since it was a known drug house and was also used for sex trafficking, so they would kick in the doors. Frankly, the apartment was dirty and low-lit. The children's rooms did not have much furniture and we saw rats and bugs on multiple occasions. We guessed that this was a good place for paranormal activity to occur. We also picked up on the sense that many people likely OD'd there.

The symbol that was found on the bedroom wall was most likely a voodoo symbol from a previous owner, by the name of Monalisa, a name that Chris picked up on.

After the investigation, we were happy to find that our cars were in tact. Before we pulled away, past the prostitutes and drug dealers on the corner, we decided to do a three-way call to discuss the case's solution.

Plan:

Case Closed

We decided that the best course of action for the family would be to move. Surprisingly, they listened and are now not experiencing any paranormal activity at their new location.

Private Residence

Waterbury, CT - April 14, 2018

Hailey contacted E.C.P.S. regarding paranormal activity in her home. She claimed that someone watches her and follows her around the house, particularly at night. She also felt that this entity was bothering her, as it would talk through Alexa (app) and present itself at times.

David and Melissa visited Hailey at her grandparent’s house, where she currently resides, and conducted an interview. After a 4-hour visit, David concluded that Hailey was exhibiting empathic traits and was therefore, more prone to experiencing paranormal activity. Due to traumatic events in Hailey’s past and current ongoings within the home, Hailey is in a vulnerable state and her energy is easier to manipulate than usual. Since she does not have a belief system, Hailey has no means of truly protecting herself at this moment in time.

Subjective Claims:

Chris & David

Chris:

Several spirits presented themselves throughout the night as part of the land. They were of Native American ethnicity.

Birds of prey appeared.

An older man came forward.

Feelings of being watched.

David:

An older man came forward wearing a suit and a hat.

Feelings of deception, lying, and manipulation.

Feelings of being watched.

Objective Findings:

Investigators: David Bray, Chris O'Connor, Melissa Whited

Photos:

No photographic evidence was found.

Audio:

Several inaudible EVPs were noted, but are too quiet to make out.

Video:

No video evidence was found.

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 1 – Subjective paranormal activity cannot be debunked and at least one piece of evidence has been collected and documented, either by EVP or photo/video.

This case receives a ‘Grade 1’ rating because there is not enough evidence to support the client’s claims. However, David and Chris performed an energy session in Hailey’s bedroom, where she experiences the most activity, and found some subjective explanations. With David’s claims that someone was lying or deceiving the team, and Chris’ visions of birds of prey, the two visions came together and E.C.P.S. believes that a shapeshifter entity had attached itself to Hailey’s aura. There are not in fact, several spirits. There is one, who continually changes his appearance to suit his needs.

Plan:

Case Closed

Since shapeshifters are from Native American origins, it may be a good idea to have a shamanistic healer come in to remove the attachment. However, if Hailey does not believe in the power of the healing, it will not work, or the entity will re-attach itself in time.

One of David's good friends contacted E.C.P.S. with claims that paranormal activity was a frequent occurrence in her life. She wanted to know if the activity itself was stemming from her home or if she had a possible attachment, and feared for her children's safety.

Empath Report:

David Bray

Before I arrived at the client’s house, I sensed a feeling of confusion, as if I felt out of place. I usually get these feelings in preparation for a case, as they are often relevant. Upon meditating, I received several clues to the case at-hand: the energy of a male figure, the letter “K,” and I had an earthy vibe come over me. I took the information down and made a mental note of it.

When we pulled up to the client’s home, I did not feel any negativity. The property felt comfortable and safe. Once we were inside, we performed the initial photo/video walkthroughs and baseline electromagnetic (EMF) sweeps and looked for any areas that may cause interference with our equipment. Throughout my tour of the home, I received energetic impressions in the upstairs hallway and the master bedroom, which confirmed (to me) the client’s claims of paranormal activity, and that they were occurring.

It is important for me to note that throughout the duration of this case, I fought to battle my prior knowledge of the situation, but also of the client due to our history and the twenty-plus years we have known each other. Psychically, I had trouble discerning what was legitimate and what was a preconceived notion. I knew that Chris was going to be the primary psychic for the night, but it was still frustrating nonetheless because I wanted to get answers for the client and make sure she felt validated.

Continuing, when we turned the lights out and started the investigation, I received the image of the same male energy from earlier. I could not describe his features, but his personality gave me the feeling of bitterness. It is really the only way I can put it. I did not feel like he was angry or malevolent in nature – just bitter. Even now, I am not sure why he is giving me that impression, but he is. As the night progressed, I also got an image of long, lanky fingers reaching out toward someone, in association with this male energy. I do not remember if the client has claims that confirm this to be true or not, or if her son or stepdaughter has claims, but the image was pretty clear to me.

During a session in the dining room, a lot of information came to me, and at first, it seemed completely random. The first name that popped into my head was that of Odin, a god in Norse mythology. He was accompanied by a woman bearing a sword. I asked the client about it and she mentioned that Freya, Odin’s wife, matched the description, and that Odin is one of the gods she works with spiritually. Now, in my opinion, I don’t think that Odin or Freya were there, but that they are part of the overall message or solution to the case. Shortly after, ravens came to mind and they did not leave. All night, these ravens were present, leading me to believe that they are a huge part of the client’s story. Upon doing some research, ravens are not only the type of bird that accompany Odin, but they also represent consciousness, spirituality, and prophecy. They are very much a gateway between worlds, i.e., they are a descriptor of someone going through a spiritual awakening. It might be important for the client to look more into the meanings behind ravens. I believe they might be one of her spirit animals/guides, although I’m not sure if they are temporary or permanent. Sometimes, spirit guides show up in times of need and help us to get through, and other times, they are a permanent presence. It is up to the client to look inward and decide for herself whether ravens are meaningful to her situation or not.

Much of the night, I got glimpses into things, but as mentioned previously, struggled to latch onto a definitive message. For example, I had a vision of the client in the woods and she was near large stones. I described it as a stone wall, which was similar to the area in her backyard, but that was not it. I’m not sure if I was picking up on an event in time or if I was tuning in to a possible cause, or location rather, of the client’s attachments. She mentioned she likes to hike but could not pinpoint a specific location that sounded like my vision. Unless I can draw more information on it, I cannot narrow it down any further, so it will have to be left as vague for now, unfortunately.

The other thing that I wanted to discuss was the client’s chakras. I have to say that the client gives off a very positive energy overall. She is full of optimism and determination, and it shows in her daily life. Others may be attracted to her energy because she is naturally raising the vibrations of the people and places around her, and her chakras are the source.

The root and sacral chakras are pertinent to maintaining balance. If these lower-vibrational chakras are not working in tandem, then none of the others will reach homeostasis. In this case, the client’s root and sacral regions were very much in alignment. I saw them as bright red and orange vortexes, spinning synchronously with each other. This information tells me that the client is grounded and connected to her earth element, and that she is expressively creative, or at least has the urge to act more creatively.

However, as I perceived the middle chakras, the balance fell apart. Her solar plexus and heart chakras were disconnected from one another. In a completely balanced person, all seven chakras move in alignment and in harmony with each other, but the client’s middle chakras were out of balance. Again, this information tells me that the client is struggling with some type of relationship with another person, but that she is also going through some inner turmoil with herself. The solar plexus chakra deals with emotions revolving around relationships, friendships, and the overall balance between our past and present, and the heart chakra deals with self-love, insecurities, anxieties, and/or pensiveness. Several times throughout the night, my heart began beating rapidly, accompanied by increased ventilation. I could not attribute it to myself, so my assumption is that it was an empathic impression of the client. I won’t get into specifics here, but I believe it’s relevant given the client’s current circumstance. If she feels compelled to talk to me more about this, then I will be more than happy to sit and listen and offer more insight should she want it.

Further up the “chain,” the client’s throat chakra was a lovely shade of blue and spinning slightly slower than her lower chakras, telling me that is in fact, a good listener, but also assertive when she needs to be. Her third eye and crown chakras, as I expected, were out of alignment and murky. The indigo and white colors they gave off were dull and blended, giving off a darker hue than normal. These chakras represent our intuitive sides and our connection to our higher powers. In many cases, I’ve seen clients who connect to this spiritual energy through their eyes, which are in theory, the gateway to the soul, i.e., they are able to receive a better connection when using visual cues. If they are out of balance, it is near impossible to “see” messages and means it is that much harder to receive their energies. The client may feel that she is more open than she is, but to me, and based on her chakras, there are definitive blocks and imbalances that need to be addressed or removed altogether. I know that she knows what they are.

At the beginning of the investigation, I had the client pull some tarot cards. The three that she chose were the: 9 of Pentacles, The Hanged Man, and the Father of Wands.

The 9 of Pentacles represents a comfortable, plentiful nest. Everything is where it belongs, and there is a sense of purpose at work. It reminds you that there are times when your best approach is to be measured and modest. This isn’t out of self-filtering or a lack of authenticity, but rather as an exercise in self-control (Mallon, 2020). Overall, this card represents stability, luxury, and sovereignty – all things that the client will have should she open up to and accept her spiritual path.

The Hanged Man is about patience and the ability to see life through a new perspective. Much like the card, the bat is waiting for his chance to fly and he is in a state of transition. However, the bat cannot actually fly until he lets go and relinquishes control. According to Mallon, 2020, this card means you spend so much energy – physical, emotional, and spiritual – trying to hold on. Perhaps by letting go, you will connect with your power in unfathomably potent ways. The bat is also in a protective posture. He has red, glowing eyes and has let go of the normal filters of awareness and found comfort in discomfort.

The Father of Wands specifically speaks to one’s own power – and once again, not to shy away from it. The Father of Wands is assertive and dominant and makes his presence known. By taking action and viewing every instance as an opportunity for growth, the client will find it will lead to an expansion of her own consciousness and awareness, and many of these negative events will diminish or cease to exist.

I think the message is pretty clear. The client is on a spiritual path and needs to get back to working on that side of herself. She cannot let negative thoughts creep in and lower her vibrations. Every thought or action is a chance to improve. Always act, do, and say out of love and positivity, and it will come back around.

Although we were asked out to investigate the home, most of the information I received was based on the client. However, there are spirits in the home, and we may even need to perform another investigation, but I will let Chris elaborate on that further. I’m thinking that the letter “K” that I received prior to, was in reference to the client’s awareness of a male spirit, whom she calls Keith. Another investigation will be needed should she want to look further into this male entity and discover why he’s present and who he is.

Medium Report:

Chris O'Connor

I began connecting to the client and the house earlier in the day. All I knew of her was that she is a friend of David’s and she practices Wicca. I thought maybe this was the source of her issues (as it’s common in our experience). It would remain to be seen.

My first message was that the client lost something important. It wasn’t keys or a book. It was something like integrity or respect. It was nothing tangible, but more emotional or spiritual. I saw her as sad and worrisome. This isn’t uncommon for me to get this type of message, but this time, it was a stronger feeling.

The second message I received is that the client needed reassuring. I was told to take her by the hands and let her know that everything was going to be alright. I was also instructed to do an exercise where I hover my hands over her, and that it would release the binds she had with any negative energy.

We arrived at the client’s house and she was waiting for us outside. We gave our introductions and went inside. The first thing I noticed about the client was her aura. It was bifurcated at her waist. The upper portion of her body was blue, and the lower portion was red. Where the two colors met, you would think would be purple, but that’s the weird part, there was absence of color. This indicated to me that she may be having issues with her GI or reproductive system. Please refer to the drawing for a better explanation. David can explain more about how chakras may be imbalanced.

I had the task of taking the baseline walkthrough photos. As I walked around the house, I also took this time to connect with the house. The house was bi-level and when I returned from getting pictures of the bedrooms, I stopped on the first landing coming from the bedrooms. I felt a presence on the main level, moving from the foyer into the living room. I snapped a group of pictures and a white mist appeared in the photos. I had our photographer analyze the pictures and she felt the mist may be caused by a light source reflecting off a surface. I would like to recreate the photos if we return for a second visit.

We started our investigation in the dining room. We asked for protection and asked the spirits of the house to come forward. It was shortly after that I began receiving visions and messages.

The first vision was of small flashes of light. They first appeared around the client and then they would show up around the room near the doorways and windows. I asked if anyone else was seeing them and the client spoke up and says she sees them all the time.

I was sitting at the table trying to focus on a man that was trying to come forward. Suddenly, I heard this screaming in my ears. The scream was high-pitched and painful to listen to. I asked whomever was screaming to stop. The client spoke up again and confirmed the same thing would happen to her.

Once the screaming stopped, the man was able to come forward. He was a thin middle-aged man. He tried to tell me his name, but all I could understand was his name began with the letter “E.” The client confirmed her boyfriend’s father’s name was Ed.

I was picking up on the energy of the house. I asked the client if there was poltergeist-type activity, such as items moving or coming up missing and finding them somewhere else. I asked about the wall between the children’s bedrooms. The energy of the house was showing me something or someone was banging on the wall and she confirmed her daughter hears scratching.

At some point, I saw a shadow encompassing the client. I was reading her energy and that’s when I asked, “Are you ready to forgive?” She chuckled and strongly stated, “No.” This is going to be a problem. Most of the client’s paranormal issues will resolve if she can show forgiveness.

An energy that was attached to the home was directing me to ask about some animal gravesites. The client mentioned her animals that were buried around the house. These gravesites were in the backyard as well. There were two more random visions I received while at the table and they were of daffodils and of a person who worked with animals.

We moved the investigation to the master bedroom. David sat against the wall near the door, the client and Eli sat on the bed, and I sat on the floor near the sunroom door. I received two very troubling visions during this time.

One, there was a dark figure under the bed and his arms came out and reached over the bed. His arms, hands, and fingers were wispy. The fingers came to a point (please refer to the picture). This entity’s main purpose was to control their thoughts and dreams.

The second vision was from exactly where I was sitting. I wasn’t shown the event, but I saw a puddle of black energy all around me. This was later confirmed by the client as where her ex-husband violently attacked her.

This case has two parts. The house and its previous owner, and the client herself. The events that are contributed to the home can be easily dealt with by changing the environment of the home, by increasing positivity and setting ground rules. The issues with the client are not as easily remedied. She will have to put work into it. The energy that is in the master bedroom will diminish greatly by the client addressing the anger she has toward her ex-husband.

I suggest the client write a letter to her ex-husband and mention how angry she is with him but tell him that he will no longer have control over her. She also needs to find a way to forgive him and write that in the letter as well. She needs to write this with true intention. What I find very therapeutic is to burn the letter afterward. But it doesn’t stop there. She must continually reaffirm her intentions.

The client must create a positive environment in her home. Obviously, negative issues will come up. Just minimize them and always resolve them quickly in a positive manner.

Objective Findings:

Investigators: David Bray, Chris O'Connor, Eli Freund

Photos:

No photographic evidence was found, but several photos need to be recreated and debunked.

Audio:

A couple intelligent Spirit Box responses were found, along with one possible EVP of a male spirit saying "Fuck you."

Video:

No video evidence was found.

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 2 – Objective findings include evidence of an EVP in direct relationship with a photo or video. The Spirit Box responds to direct questions with relevancy to the history of the residence and/or the occupants (including the paranormal team).

See the empath and medium reports for the full assessment. It is evident that the client is manifesting activity and harnessing negativity which is heightening the paranormal experiences in the home.

Plan:

Case Closed

We will be educating the client on co-existing with spirits in the home and giving her tools to use to help herself maintain positivity and intention. If she does this, she'll find activity to significantly decrease.

Private Residence

Windsor, CT - June 24, 2017

The client reached out to us regarding some paranormal ongoings in her apartment. In the middle of the night, she claimed to see a burned man with flesh and innards hanging from his body. He smelled of charred meat. She also claimed that the closet door would open in the middle of the night and that a man would stand there and watch her sleep. Strong feelings of being watched were common in the household.

Subjective Claims:

Chris & David

Chris:

Weeks prior to the investigation, he received messages that the residents of the home were having paranormal trouble in the bathroom. He also received a message that someone conjured something into the home. He received visions of an older gentleman and a badly injured soldier.

As we were introduced to the family, Chris states that the father was present. After a short time, the soldier presented himself. There were two other spirits that presented but did not identify themselves.

David:

Received a vision of a red candle, the word “love,” and fire.

Objective Findings:

Investigators: David Bray, Chris O'Connor, Melissa Whited

Photos:

No photographic evidence was found.

Audio:

No audio evidence was found.

Video:

No video evidence was found.

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 0 - All subjective paranormal activity has been debunked and no evidence has been collected for documentation. There are no objective paranormal findings of any kind.

We started out this investigation with high hopes, but quickly became frustrated. Chris received a vision that some conjuring was done in the household and that is what started the paranormal activity. It is fairly often that we find cases where people are messing with things they don’t fully understand and invite something in unknowingly. In the middle of the night, I received a vision of a lit red candle and the word “love.” Red candles are used for love spells in certain pagan rituals. This vision backed up Chris’ vision of a conjuring. We also took information the client gave us and applied it to these visions, further validating our belief that love spells were being used in the home. When I was in the living room, I was drawn to the bookcase and two books evidently jumped out at me (not literally). Upon further inspection, there were two bookmarked pages, both containing love spells. We were not told this information beforehand and the client denied all claims of performing magic in the home. It was not until our evidence reveal that she admitted to performing the spells.

The burned man that the client kept seeing was validated as legitimate and subjectively, we were able to pick up that he was an Afghan soldier who was tortured and murdered. This information aligns with information that was given to us from the client and her family. Further details are confidential and cannot be disclosed.

Overall, we found no objective evidence. Therefore, this case remains a ‘Grade 1.’

Plan:

Case Closed

Case closed. Unless further problems arise, the family has all the information they need to take care of the situation at hand. As long as they stop performing rituals to manipulate free will, they will be fine and activity will cease.

Private Residence

Windsor, CT - November, 2016 - January, 2018

David was browsing Reddit one day when he received a message from a man in Seattle, WA asking him if he could assist a family in need in Connecticut. The couple had been through a plethora of religious clergy, shamans, pagans, and other spiritual leaders for the past two years, but did not receive any answers to their paranormal problem.

The clients claimed that an entity was manipulating their phones, televisions and computers, and stealing or destroying expensive items in the home. It would frequently knock on the walls to keep them from sleeping and would turn them against one another on a daily basis.

Photos:

No photographic evidence was found except of destroyed items and screenshots of text messages, emails, and printed communications.

Audio:

Over the period of a year, a plethora of EVPs, Spirit Box responses, growls, unexplained noises, and knocks were caught by our audio recorders.

Video:

Unexplained orbs, mists, and electronic interference was caught by our infrared and full-spectrum cameras.

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 5 - This grading is used for malevolent spirits. These spirits may or may not be controlled by a negative entity. In addition, this grading is also used when a demonic entity is afflicting the individual, the home or both.

Objective findings include evidence of violent behavior. This includes slapping, scratching, biting or any other aggressive notion that leads to an injury. There is violent language and threats that are captured by human ears and documented with an audible device. There is evidence of objects being moved to cause harm (i.e. – a knife being thrown at a person).

There is evidence of severe mood changes, religious artifacts being moved or damaged, and/or activity that cannot be explained that has demonic ideology. Unexplained markings are found in the home or on a person resembling possible demonic cause. This also includes unexplained appearances of blood.
