Do you believe in fate? Do you believe in chance happenings or coincidences? I believe, but with a slight twist. I believe that when those moments -- those unexpected occurrences – happen, someone or something had a plan.
Today, a remarkable situation happened. I certainly wasn’t expecting this to happen, and I know the person I helped wasn’t expecting it to happen. This is a fine example of being at the right place at the right time.
As many of you know, I work full-time as a contractor. One of my clients this week had requested a meeting time that would allow her husband to be present as well. Unfortunately, something came up for her husband, and he would not be able to make the planned meeting. The homeowner ultimately decided to go forward with the meeting anyway.
I arrived at the home and the homeowner met me in the driveway. With my gift, it is a common occurrence for spirits attached to the person or the home I’m visiting to be present as well. I give them a nod and move on to the purpose for which I am there.
The energy from this house was mixed with happiness and sadness. Now you must understand, in my capacity as a contractor, it is usually not good business practice to bring up that I am a gifted medium. These circumstances happen often to me, and I just choose to keep them to myself. Today, on the other hand, would be different.
We began talking about the project and her cell phone kept dinging, interrupting our conversation. She apologized for the interruptions and explained how her father passed away in September and today was his estate sale. She couldn’t be there because she was recovering from surgery. She wasn’t sure if she was doing the right thing, and she wished her dad would send a message.
I was still hesitant to divulge my gift. Then, as if I got a nudge, I took a deep breath and let her know. She was surprised but happy. I started off by explaining why I believed she wasn’t getting messages from her father. I explained that her dad may be still on the path of his death. As we all have life paths while we are alive, we also have the same journey in death.
There may have been signs or messages from her father. This was a distracting time for her. Her father passed unexpectedly, right after she’d had surgery. She’d had to heal from one surgery, then deal with her father’s estate, and then endure another surgery. I told her there may have been messages, but with everything that was going on, she could have missed them.
That’s when I received the first message. “You had a ‘hiccup’ with your first surgical procedure,” I said. She agreed. I then stated that there was a nurse who’d had to argue with the doctor because she’d had the right solution to my client’s problem, while the doctor was adamant that he was correct. The nurse eventually won out, and my client’s father let me know that he was the one urging the nurse not to give up the fight. So, there was her message: even in death, your dad is still with you.
There was more to the reading, but it became more personal. I hope my story encourages you to embrace those chance happenings. Know that they don’t just happen. The universe is an amazing network. Side note: the more positivity you have in your life, the more positive ‘right place right time’ happenings you’ll encounter.
