Paranormal Investigation in Connecticut: Case Overview
We first met Kevin and Ada of Somers, CT during one of our “Truth Behind Investigating the Unknown” presentations. Following the lecture, a private reading was requested at their home.
Several weeks later, our team returned to the property for a deeper evaluation. Based on initial findings, two objectives were established:
Perform a house cleansing/blessing
Conduct a full paranormal investigation of the barn
The property included a residence, a neighboring family home, and an older barn located near a cemetery — an environmental factor often relevant in paranormal investigations.
Empath Findings and Energy Assessment
Upon arrival, the property initially presented as stable. However, during interviews and energy readings, a notable imbalance emerged between Ada and her daughter.
Ada demonstrated heightened throat chakra activity (overexpression)
Her daughter presented with suppressed communication energy
From an empathic standpoint, this type of imbalance often manifests as:
Communication breakdown
Emotional conflict
Persistent household tension
Balancing energetic output between individuals is critical. When one system is overstimulated and the other inhibited, friction is inevitable.
Note: Portions of the empathic reading are omitted to maintain client confidentiality.
House Cleansing and Environmental Shift
The home cleansing was conducted using:
Intent-based prayer
Holy Water
Room-by-room energetic clearing
Contrary to popular belief, formal clergy is not required for effective cleansing. Structured intent, consistency, and environmental awareness are the primary drivers of outcome.
Post-cleansing, the home demonstrated a clear shift toward a more stable and positive baseline.
Barn Investigation: Spirit Communication and Evidence
The barn — estimated at over 200 years old — became the focal point of the investigation.
Initial Observations
Upon entry, several intuitive impressions surfaced:
“Loft”
“Accident”
“Game”
“Purple”
At the time, these appeared disconnected. They later aligned with observed communication.
EVP Session and Spirit Box Activity
The investigation was conducted in the loft area using:
Spirit box
Audio recorder
Visual documentation (burst photography)
Identified Entities:
1. Josiah (Male, early 19th century)
Associated with a fatal accident in the barn
Likely died after falling during a game (hide and seek/tag)
Mechanism: fall into hay containing a concealed hay hook
2. Heather (Deceased child, family member)
Passed from leukemia at a young age
Communicated directly via spirit box
Key validated responses:
Greeting: “Hi” / “Hi Mom”
Favorite color: “Purple” (confirmed independently prior to response)
Emotional reassurance to family
Additional photographic anomalies were captured during attempted communication, consistent with previous documentation methods.
Medium Validation and Correlation
Independent medium findings aligned with empath impressions:
Blue aura observed around Pam → consistent with throat/communication energy
Physical sensations experienced by the medium (cough, arm pain) later matched reported conditions within the household
Repeated symbolic confirmations (numbers, colors, names)
Notably, Heather’s presence was reinforced through:
Personality traits
Behavioral descriptions
Object attachment (toys/dolls)
Familial interactions
These correlations strengthen the validity of multi-method paranormal investigation approaches.
Interpretation: Patterns in Paranormal Investigation
This case highlights several recurring patterns seen in structured investigations:
Environmental layering (residence + historical structure + cemetery proximity)
Emotional anchors (grief, family dynamics, unresolved trauma)
Child spirit communication patterns (play behavior, attachment objects)
Cross-validation between investigators (empath + medium convergence)
Importantly, this case differed from typical high-conflict or malevolent reports.
Instead, it demonstrated:
Benign or familial spirit presence
Emotional continuity rather than disruption
Opportunity for closure and reassurance
Outcome and Clinical Perspective
From both an investigative and human standpoint, the outcome was positive:
The family reported emotional relief and validation
Environmental stability improved post-cleansing
Direct communication provided closure for unresolved grief
For our team, cases like this reinforce that not all paranormal activity is adversarial. In many instances, it reflects continuity, attachment, and unresolved emotional ties.
Final Thoughts
This case represents a structured, multi-disciplinary paranormal investigation in Connecticut, integrating empathic assessment, mediumship, environmental clearing, and evidence collection.
While interpretations will always vary depending on belief systems, the consistency of findings across independent methods remains the most compelling aspect of this work.
