The Paranormal and Reiki

April 1, 2018

People often ask me how I use Reiki to assist E.C.P.S. with investigating the paranormal. Heck, you might even be wondering what Reiki is! Haha, fair enough, let’s talk about it.

I am a Karuna Reiki® Practitioner and a paranormal investigator. The curiosity for the paranormal came before the gift of Reiki.

My passion for the unknown and the unseen came years ago while living in a previous apartment. Once my roommate left, things happened that I could not logically explain. I began to snap photos with my digital camera and looked closely at the pictures. I would see apparitions here and there which led to even more curiosity. Finally, I ended up joining two other groups prior to joining E.C.P.S.

During my spiritual path, I came across Reiki a couple of times. One day, I walked into my house and my hand felt extremely hot, almost on fire, but there was no pain and no redness. I studied my hand and tried to make logic out of what I was experiencing. Well, I asked a friend who explained what Reiki was and I was soon taking classes shortly thereafter.

Reiki chooses whom to go to and it is not for everyone. I was chosen to be a healer and to administer Reiki; it is my path.

Reiki is energy work. It is a Japanese technique used for stress reduction, relaxation, and promotes healing. The word “Reiki” is made up of two words, ‘Rei,’ which means “God’s wisdom or higher power,” and ‘Ki,’ which means “life force energy.” So, Reiki is “spiritually guided life force energy.” It is positive energy that can do no harm. But the question is, how do I use it for investigating paranormal claims?

I can use Reiki in many ways. I can and have sent it to my teammates before the start of a case. This is to relax us and to open us to any and all messages we need to receive for the night. I have a Reiki grid with clear quartz and amethyst stones. I put photos of team members under the grid and for 24 hours, Reiki is sent to us. Being that we are a Christian-based team, I also include prayer cards of Jesus Christ and Archangel Michael. This is for added protection, divine light, and strength for extremely negative cases.

Reiki can also be used to clear or ground a room. If we are experiencing a lot of negative energy, I can send Reiki to a room and clear it out. Basically, it clears the room of negative energy and replaces it with positive energy.

There have been times that my teammates needed Reiki due to these negative entities energetically attacking them. After the attack, I connected with Reiki and sent love and positivity to my teammates. Love is the strongest positive energy and can overpower any dark or malevolent entities.

Also, please know that I can in no way control Reiki, nor can I manipulate it. All I do is create the space for Reiki to take place. The positive energy enters my crown chakra (top of the head) and travels down my arms which flows out of my hands into the client or space. With Reiki, I set the intent for the healing. For example, I can ask Reiki to send healing energies to so-and- so’s left shoulder. However, Reiki may see that this healing energy is needed more so elsewhere within the body; even at a cellular level.

What is also important is my intent. When my teammate was energetically attacked, I was genuinely concerned for his safety and mental/emotional state. When I connected, I told Reiki that he was attacked by a negative entity and that he needed lots of love. I filled my heart with love and that is what I sent to him. I had true intent of his healing. I do this with everyone I send Reiki to.

Reiki has also helped me become more intuitive. I am in tuned with my surroundings, mindful of energy shifts, and more aware of people’s energy too. Currently, I have acquired a new gift of clairaudience, which is the ability to perceive sounds or words from outside sources in the spirit world. I have changed my diet to eating healthier, cleaning my body of processed foods to be more open to my gifts. Clean eating, meditation, and self-Reiki are now part of my daily life.
