Investigation Date: April 22, 2019

Investigators: David Bray, Chris O’Connor, Melissa Whited, Ruby L.

Client Claims: The clients reached out to E.C.P.S. with concerns regarding paranormal activity in their home. There were claims of a lamp being thrown, radios and CD players being turned on/off by themselves, seeing shadows or other apparitions, and more. There were also reports of a "man" threatening the family and scaring the homeowners. The family was concerned and E.C.P.S. got out to the home immediately on a Monday evening to investigate.

Subjective Claims:

  • Chris:

    • He felt the "man" that was seen as a terrifying presence in the home was in fact, not meaning to frighten anyone. He is "slow" and does not understand certain social situations.

    • He picked up on the spirit of a little boy and the name "Adam" came to mind while investigating one of the bedrooms. He was standing in the corner.

    • A female spirit was making herself known to him throughout the course of the investigation.

    • He sensed an energetic imbalance with a friend of the family's who was present when we arrived - whom also tried to rid the home of any spiritual activity.

    • There was an imbalance between one of the occupants of the home and a significant other.

    • He sensed that someone was moving or was thinking about moving.

  • David:
    • The spirit of a little boy came to him while investigating one of the bedrooms. He believes that the boy is here for one of the occupants, possibly as a protector.
    • The name "Henry" came to him in the same bedroom as noted above. This was confirmed as the "caretaker" of the land.
    • He sensed an energetic imbalance with a friend of the family's who was present when we arrived - whom also tried to rid the home of any spiritual activity.
    • There was an imbalance between one of the occupants and a significant other.
    • He sensed someone indirectly conjured or invited a spirit in.
  • Melissa:
    • No subjective claims of any kind.

  • Ruby:
    • Coming soon...

Objective Findings:

  • Photos:

    • No photographic evidence was found.

  • Audio:
    • Several EVPs were captured during the investigation. They were relevant to the subjective claims from the group, as well as to the clients' claims:

  • Video:
    • No video evidence was captured, but our Sony camcorder DID pick up some EVPs:

Assessment:

Paranormal Level - Grade 3: Objective findings include evidence of a manifestation (non-orbs) captured by a photo or video. Audible sounds or voices can be heard by human ears and are documented on an audible device.

E.C.P.S. does not think that anything malevolent resides in the home. We ended up talking to the family's friend, the one with the imbalanced energy, and gave her some tips on how to ground herself. We believe she may have indirectly stirred up some activity, and either angered them, or invited other spirits in. The signs are clear that she is not meant to help this particular family, although her intentions were good.

There were also some personal things that we picked up on, on different family members and their dynamics, but the details are confidential. However, we believe that a lot of the activity can be explained through those dynamics and they may even be a direct cause of activity.

Throughout the night, the entire team heard audible voices - both a man and woman's voice. Our devices ended up capturing the voices for validation, which is why this case gets an automatic Grade 3 rating. There were a lot of spirits present, and one of them even scared Ruby with a guttural growl as she was grabbing her jacket. Regardless, they don't seem to be malevolent or evil in any way. Just like people, they have personalities. They can be mean, play tricks, move things, and can become upset at the family's choices and decisions.

The little boy, who confirmed his name was "Adam," seems to be around as well. We're unsure as to why he's here exactly, but he's serving as a protector for one of the occupants. We are sure she will figure out why in the coming months/within the year as long as she's open-minded to his signs and his presence. The "man" that the family sees seems to be a "slow" individual who is not entirely aware that he's scaring anyone. He stands in corners, watches, or joins the family during conversations. Overall, there doesn't seem to be any evil or negative spirits present in the home.

Plan:

We are currently playing it by ear on deciding whether or not to return for a second investigation. It is not completely necessary as long as activity remains to a minimum. We are told that it did quiet down since our visit. If the family remains positive and each member of the household deals with their personal problems in a healthy manner, then activity should stay consistently low.

Investigation Dates: November 12, 2016 & February 2, 2017

Investigators: David Bray, Chris O’Connor, Melissa Whited, Sue Polomski, Lisa O’Connor

Guest Investigators: Brittany Martin, Anna Smith

Client Claims: The client reached out to us regarding possible paranormal activity in her home. She was afraid to be alone in the house and refused to go into the basement. She exhibited feelings of being watched, saw shadows, and heard whispers. She also discovered a secret, underground room in her backyard. We were called in to try and find answers as to who or what could be inhabiting her home.

Subjective Claims:

  • Chris:

    • He felt the presence of a teenage African American girl and an oppressive middle-aged male. The teenage girl was spotted on the third floor and the male was spotted on the main level by the stairs.

    • He believed the house was telling the story of two families in conflict. One family was highfalutin while the other was more practical even though they both shared the same social structure.

    • While investigating the basement, a young boy named Samuel came forward. He was an African American boy, aged nine or ten, who likely died from typhoid. Samuel’s sadness was felt by him and David to the point that tears were forming.

    • Children were playing under and near the staircase.

    • While investigating the attic, he received a vision of a woman being slowly lowered into swampy water. The name “Paula” was given.

    • In the attic, a vision of a woman hanging by the rafters appeared. It was a jilted woman by a man she loved, and was not accepted by his family.

    • While in the basement, he heard a baby crying.

    • During an energy session in the living room, he and David were able to form so much energy that they had an “energetic tug of war.”

  • David:
    • While in the basement, he heard a baby crying.

    • Also, while in the basement, he became very emotional to the point that tears were forming. He was sensing the spirit of a little boy who died alone and afraid. He was extremely sick when he died.

    • He was on the third floor setting up the IR Cameras when he heard someone call his name. He thought it was one of the team members, but it was not.

    • During an energy session in the attic with Chris, he felt the presence of two spirits; that of a woman and a little girl.

    • He and Chris were able to form so much energy during the session in the living room that they had an “energetic tug of war.”

    • In the attic, he received the name “Elizabeth” after he was told there was a woman hanging from the rafters.

    • He received a “G” name while doing an energy session in the attic.

  • Melissa:
    • She felt cold sensations in the attic.

  • Brittany:
    • No subjective claims of any kind.

  • Lisa:

    • No subjective claims of any kind.

  • Sue:

    • No subjective claims of any kind.

  • Anna:

    • No subjective claims of any kind.

Objective Findings:

  • Photos:

    • No photographic evidence was found.

  • Audio:
    • Several EVPs were captured during both investigations. They were relevant to the history of the home and responded intelligently to direct questions. You can listen to some of them below:

  • Video:

    • While investigating a second floor bedroom, Melissa and Anna caught footage of the door opening on its own. We have not been able to debunk it. Check it out below:

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 2 – Objective findings include evidence of an EVP in direct relationship with a photo or video. The Spirit Box responds to direct questions with relevancy to the history of the residence and/or the occupants (including the paranormal team).

Our first visit to this private home in Brooklyn, CT was insightful. The history of the home and the surrounding areas proved to be rich and plentiful. Upon researching the property, we discovered that the home had connections with the Old Trinity Church, a notoriously haunted location here in Connecticut. Rumor has it that serial killer Michael Ross dumped one of his victims on the church property; it is mere speculation and is most likely not true. However, it is interesting to note that the swamp down the street is where he dumped one of his victims. This validates Chris’ vision of a woman being lowered into a swamp. The surrounding property and the house were formerly owned by two famous families: the Putnams and the Malbones, once again confirming Chris’ vision; this time of two families in conflict with one another. I received a “G” name while in the attic and Godfrey Malbone built the Old Trinity Church. We were also told that at one point in time, there was an underground tunnel that connected the church to the basement. However, the tunnel was closed up with stone and dirt so it is impossible to tell exactly where it was. We believe the tunnel was used for slaves who worked on the property. The history of the house is vast. There were many “workers” on the property and sick children as well. It is hard to identify whom exactly we were communicating with throughout the night.

In fact, the house proved to be so interesting that we went back for a second investigation. The first visit left us with more questions than answers. Unfortunately, noise contamination was more of an issue during the second visit so most of our EVPs and attained evidence was inaudible. But there are definitely spirits there. We could not debunk all the client’s subjective claims either. Therefore, we have to say that this is a ‘Grade 2’ rating due to the relevance of the evidence along with the validation of the team’s subjective claims. The spirits who inhabit the home and surrounding properties are not harmful or malevolent in any way. The clients have been educated on how to live with the spirits. The house has a long history after all. It’s bound to have a few.

Plan:

As for right now, this case is closed. Unless further problems arise or the activity changes, we have no plans of going back anytime soon.

Private Residence - Canterbury, CT

Investigation Date: August 28, 2016

Investigators: David Bray, Chris O’Connor, Melissa Whited

Client Claims: The clients called us regarding some paranormal activity they were experiencing after a night out together. They believed that they brought something home with them. However, the couple’s claims were hard to believe at first. The most significant claim was that they felt like they were being watched whenever they had intercourse or had an intimate moment with one another. They would hear a noise that they described as “fingers on glass,” almost as if someone was peeking in through the window. Items would rearrange and footsteps would be heard throughout the house as well.

Subjective Claims:

  • Chris:

    • He felt a sense of cautiousness going down into the lower level of the house.

    • He had visions of a middle-aged man dressed in overalls lurking around and peeking through the windows. He looked like he was from the 1940s.

    • He also had visions of a ten-year-old boy who played with the child in the house.

  • Dave:
    • While setting up base camp, a pan fell off the top of the refrigerator. The team was unable to debunk how it possibly could have fallen.

    • He felt cold spots while investigating the basement.

    • He experienced feelings of being watched.

  • Melissa:

    • She felt cold spots throughout the house.

Objective Findings:

  • Photos:

    • No photographic evidence was found.

  • Audio:
    • Our Olympus Recorder was left in the basement for some time while the team was outside taking a break and several EVPs were captured. We received intelligent and direct responses to questions which aligned with the client’s subjective claims. Check them out below:

  • Video:

    • While investigating the basement, the team asked the spirit in the house to move something as validation. Our answer was given as the flashlight that was on the floor began to roll back and forth on its own. The team tried to debunk this scenario, to no avail. The footage is below:

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 3 – Objective findings include evidence of a manifestation (non-orbs) captured by a photo or video. Audible sounds or voices can be heard by human ears and are documented on an audible device.

As stated in the ‘Claims’ section, we originally thought that the client’s supposed paranormal activity was hard to believe. After all, it is our job to be skeptics first. However, we were proven wrong this time around. Although we did not see or catch evidence of a physical manifestation, the audio and video evidence was compelling enough to warrant this case a ‘Grade 3’ rating.

We believe that the property used to be farmlands back in the day, or possibly served as a plantation. The clients’ landlord lives next door so we were aware that he could be outside making noise at the time activity was occurring. This could have accounted for some of the noises the clients were hearing. However, Chris’ vision of a middle-aged man peeking in through the windows was seeming more and more accurate as the night went on.

We caught several EVPs which indicated a perverted man who liked to watch couples have sex. He was a mean spirit as well. He was mean in life and he was mean in death. He told us to “get out” and “leave” throughout the night via EVP and Spirit Box communication. While we were investigating the basement, the K2 Meter went ballistic. During our initial interview, it didn’t spike once, yet it was spiking past 20+ mG all night. We asked the spirit to show itself by moving something and to our surprise, the flashlight that was placed on the floor began to roll back and forth. We tried to debunk this activity by stomping on the floor around the flashlight to see if it would roll from the vibrations of people walking, but it didn’t. It was still all night until we asked the question. No matter what we did, we could not replicate the way the flashlight rolled. Therefore, we are classifying this as paranormal in nature.

We believe that the spirit that was bothering the couple was a part of the land and not the house itself. We demanded that he leave the couple alone and move on. He was not allowed to continue peeking at them or bothering them in any way, shape, or form.

We gathered a lot of evidence from this investigation. The overall evidence backed up our subjective claims and the claims of the clients. About six months later, we were told that activity had ceased. They have been given instructions and have been educated if activity should ever continue.

Plan:

This case was one of the best investigations we have ever done. We expected little, but received a lot. We are still in contact with the clients, but activity has stopped. If it should ever continue, we will be there to answer the call.

Private Residence - Danbury, CT

Investigation Date: April 16, 2016

Investigators: David Bray, Chris O’Connor, Melissa Whited

Client Claims: We were contacted by the client via Facebook. She was growing concerned for her child as he was having trouble sleeping and waking up screaming in the middle of the night. She insisted that he was afraid of something. She saw shadows in the hallway and claimed that she was being scratched. She also felt she was being watched all the time and would wake up at 3:00 AM nearly every night. On top of this, she would hear footsteps and noises in the house even though nobody else was home.

Subjective Claims:

  • Chris:

    • He believed that the client’s father was in the house, but was not the one causing problems.

  • David:
    • No subjective claims of any kind.

  • Melissa:
    • No subjective claims of any kind.

Objective Findings:

  • Photos:

    • No photographic evidence was found.

  • Audio:
    • No EVPs or audio evidence was found. The Spirit Box responded intelligently in accordance with the history of the family, but that is all. It was also sporadic during our visit, so it is hard to know who we were communicating with.

  • Video:
    • No video evidence was found.

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 0 - All subjective paranormal activity has been debunked and no evidence has been collected for documentation. There are no objective paranormal findings of any kind.

This was one of those cases where we really had to work to figure out the dynamics of the family and the home. There were things at the interview that we were not initially told, so on the night of the investigation, we had to piece together information to get the full story.

As it turns out, the child’s biological mother was apparently practicing witchcraft and was being treated for addiction in a psychiatric facility. Upon learning this information, we had the client write her name on a piece of paper and burn it. This was done while giving positive self-affirmation and expressing strongly that whoever was bothering her, had to leave.

For a couple of weeks post-investigation, activity had ceased. However, we were contacted a second time and told that it was still an ongoing situation. Since we did not get any activity other than some Spirit Box communication, we opted not to make the drive for a second visit, so we decided to contact another group that was much closer and could take over the case. The second group did stay in contact with us to let us know how things were going. As far as we know, some photos of orbs were captured and there were a couple EVPs captured as well, but upon listening to them, they were mostly inaudible and very faint. According to the client, the second group was successful in their approach.

Plan:

A couple of months after the second group’s visit, we were once again contacted by the client with claims that activity was still ongoing. We have officially passed the case over and are no longer working with the client.

Private Residence - Farmington, CT

Investigation Date: June 3, 2016

Investigators: Chris O’Connor, Lisa O’Connor

Client Claims: Chris received a phone call and was asked to assist another paranormal team with a case. When they arrived, they were told that the two young daughters were having visitors at night and that one of them saw a woman in the yard before she disappeared into the trees.

Subjective Claims:

  • Chris:

    • While doing the initial walkthrough, he believed the activity was linked to the father, not the house.

  • Lisa:
    • No subjective claims of any kind.

Objective Findings:

  • Photos:

    • No photographic evidence was found.

  • Audio:

    • No audio evidence was found.

  • Video:

    • No video evidence was found.

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 0 - All subjective paranormal activity has been debunked and no evidence has been collected for documentation. There are no objective paranormal findings of any kind.

The younger child was excited to tell Chris what she saw. The older daughter was very timid, shy, and stood behind mom or dad, shielding herself from him.

It is not uncommon for young children to have “visitors” and to see them. Chris chalked this up to being a benign entity and moved on to the older daughter. At first, the child was reluctant to speak to him, so he was glad that Lisa came along. She took her aside and was able to get her to talk about it. This daughter was seeing something at night while trying to go to sleep. She said to Lisa that they don't bother her sister because she is asleep.

After the interview, Chris and Lisa were able to go upstairs and into the girls’ bedroom. The older daughter and mom went along. While Chris was in there, he did not get any sense of anything paranormal. He took the opportunity to speak with the little girl and she gave him some more information about what she saw. He believes what he said to the girl made a significant impact. The next day, he received a post from the mother:

"I wanted to thank you guys from the bottom of my heart for going out of your way to help my family get information about what we have been seeing/feeling. I want to especially thank you for empowering Abby about what she's seeing. She wants to try and see if "they" are gone tonight. The kids love you both especially Mama Lisa :)"

Chris and Lisa could not debunk the clients' subjective claims, but no evidence of any kind was collected either.

Plan:

Chris and Lisa are happy that they made a difference that night, as per the mother's testimony. We hope that their peace of mind continues.

Private Residence - Hampton, CT

Investigation Date: August 1, 2016

Investigators: David Bray, Chris O’Connor, Melissa Whited

Client Claims: The client reported claims of an apparition appearing in his bedroom at night. He claimed that a spirit was caressing his face while he was sleeping. He reported feelings of being watched, hearing footsteps, and seeing entities out of his peripheral vision.

Subjective Claims:

  • Chris:

    • He believed there was a female attachment between the two clients.

    • He saw an African American man standing by the edge of the property.

  • David:
    • No subjective claims of any kind.

  • Melissa:
    • No subjective claims of any kind.

Objective Findings:

  • Photos:

    • The only legitimate piece of photographic evidence that was obtained was taken during our Q&A session with the spirits of the house. It could be a camera glitch or a trick of the light. We also took a walk to the abandoned tavern next door and felt the presence of several spirits. Check out the photographs below:

  • Audio:

    • EVPs were captured during our visit, but most of them were inaudible or didn’t make sense, as they didn’t respond intelligently to our questions. Here is the highlight below. "Princess" is something that was repeated throughout the case:

  • Video:

    • No video evidence was found.

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 1 – Subjective paranormal activity cannot be debunked and at least one piece of evidence has been collected and documented, either by EVP or photo/video.

The research phase of this investigation led us to find out that the surrounding properties used to be part of an old train station. We took a walk down the road to check out the area and were able to find where the railroad tracks used to be.

Most of Hampton’s houses are in wooded areas which used to be farmlands. The old, stone walls which bordered the properties are still present. We also found out that the abandoned building down the street from our client used to be a tavern back in the day. The land itself is very old and has a lot of history. This might explain the African American man that Chris saw as we pulled up to the house. We recorded our walkthrough of the land and received inaudible spirit whispering for nearly the entire trip.

On the night of the investigation, an unpredicted storm hit Hampton literally an hour before we were set to begin. It knocked out power lines on one street and one street only – our clients’. We were unable to set up all of our equipment so we had to rely on ourselves and battery-operated equipment.

We started our short night in the upstairs bedroom with an EVP and Spirit Box session. We also tried flashlight communication, but didn’t really get any intelligent responses. There were several types of noise contamination present as well so it was hard for us to focus or get into a meditative state. We’re marking this case with a ‘Grade 1’ rating because we did obtain a couple photos, one of which was actually taken next door, but also because it does validate Chris’ vision of a woman. EVPs were found in the house and on the land. Even if they are inaudible, they are saying something. We were unable to debunk the client’s subjective claims.

Overall, it was a pretty frustrating investigation simply for the fact that the power was knocked out an hour before our arrival. We couldn’t fully test the waters here or use the equipment we wanted to use.

Plan:

This case is closed for now. The client has been given tools to work with in case activity increases. But we have asked the spirits in the house to leave him alone and set ground rules for what they are and are not allowed to do. We have not heard from the client since.

Private Residence - Hebron CT

Investigation Date: October 27, 2018

Investigators: David Bray, Chris O’Connor, Melissa Whited, Ruby Larisch

Claims: Susan and Frank contacted E.C.P.S. regarding possible paranormal activity in their home. Melissa was designated as the primary contact for the case and an interview date was planned.

David, Melissa, and Ruby arrived for the preliminary interview to perform a walkthrough of the house/property and to document Susan and Frank’s claims; seeing shadows, hearing voices, feelings of being watched/followed, mood changes, and prolonged illnesses were reported.

After the interview, the team deemed it necessary to perform an investigation to discern whether the activity was stemming from the clients, house, or property. An investigation date was planned shortly after.

Subjective Claims:

  • David:

Empath Report

My first visit to Susan and Frank’s home was during the preliminary interview along with Melissa and Ruby. While they sat down with the clients to fill out the questionnaire and gather data, I did the initial EMF sweep and performed a walkthrough of the property. During this time, I gathered a lot of subjective information that I wrote down in my handy notebook – courtesy of Chris.

I started my walkthrough on the upper level of the house (it is a raised ranch style home) and started in the bedroom at the end of the hall. I was told that this was their son’s room, but that he was away for college. The room gave off a peculiar vibe, one that I cannot explain. I wrote down that it had a “weird” energy and moved on. The rest of the upper level did not give any significant indication that anything malevolent was present, and I could not initially go into the living area, as that’s where the interview was taking place and I wanted to avoid hearing any information about the history or claims of the house.

I proceeded downstairs and was immediately hit by a strong, sweet smell – almost a perfume. I got the sense that the house “changes” at night for whatever reason and moved into the master bedroom. In the master bedroom, I received a vision of Susan struggling to fall asleep at night, which was later confirmed. Apparently, Frank wakes up at night and acts mean and/or irritable toward Susan, but he never remembers the events. I also wrote down that there was an object in the home that either needed to be removed or simply moved someplace else.

After my walkthrough of the house, I took myself outside to investigate the property. Immediately, I noticed the land had a very Native American feeling to it. It was clearly old land. It didn’t seem harmful, but I did note that something was odd about the border to the property. I later asked Susan if neighbors walk their dogs down the street, only to stop at their border, turn around, and go back. She confirmed. There was also a Native American man present, but he didn’t want to communicate with me. I also noticed a tree on the property that gave off a strange feeling when I placed my hand on it. Was it used for something in the past? I didn’t know at the time, so I moved on. While outside, I also received several names. The first name I got was a So- sounding name, my guess was “Sophia,” and the other was “Thomas.”

Once back inside and after the interview, I began asking Susan and Frank questions regarding the information I got from my walkthrough. I asked which of them sees or saw a “shadow or blob figure.” Frank confirmed it was him. I also wrote down that someone was having money problems, and at first no one admitted to it, but they were indeed having financial struggles. I asked Susan and Frank if a So- name was relevant and found that the previous owner’s name was in fact Sophia, and their daughter’s name was Sondra. I also received an image of a little boy while talking to Frank, that I wrote down as an observation in my notebook.

Fast forward to the investigation and during an energy session with Chris, I received a vision of the object that I believed to be in the house: an oriental figurine.

Medium Report

Our team met up prior to arriving at the client’s home on the night of the investigation. I had not been to the home yet, and I didn’t have any information about the case. I received a vision of a man while on my way to the meeting place. I also received the man’s name: Daniel. He appeared as an adult and shared a memory from when he was a young child, around ten.

On my way to the client’s home, I received a message from my spirit guide letting me know that this was not about a spirit visiting the home, but rather about an item in the home that was holding onto energy from the past and creating the issues for the client.

Still driving, I called Dave and asked if that was the case: were there items in the house that came from another location, and if so, had there been an increase in activity since the item(s) entered the home? Dave confirmed.

We all arrived at the client’s home and did our meet and greet with Sue and Frank. At this point, I realized that the man from my vision was not attached to the home, but to Frank. I showed him the picture I drew of Daniel and gave him his name. Daniel is Frank’s brother who had recently passed.

The memory that Daniel shared with me was of him being in a locked car. The car was old or described as vintage in our present time period. Daniel showed me him banging in on the window, calling out to his mother to come get him. When I shared this vision with Frank, he confirmed that he did this to his brother. Daniel also stated that he would often get in his brother’s way. Frank confirmed this information.

Subjectively, I was focused on this object that was creating the activity. I was getting a vision of a figurine approximately 8-10 inches tall and made from porcelain or glass.

Dave and I did an energy session in the son’s bedroom. Sue’s son is a skeptic. The energy in his room was that he didn’t want to believe, but quietly he did. He does not let his mother know of the activity that he has gone through. He feels that if he does not give the entity attention, it will go away.  During this session, Dave and I discovered which object was creating the activity. The porcelain figurine was Asian -- a Chinese or Japanese doll. The session also showed us that the figurine was slightly hidden, and that the energy attached to it wanted it to be brought forward and displayed more prominently.

Immediately after the session, I went to a curio cabinet located in the living room. There, partially hidden near the back of a high shelf, was an oriental doll matching the one in my vision. I let Susan and Frank know that I am not sure that this is going to reduce the activity, but the energy source attached to the doll wanted it brought forward. Susan moved the doll to the front of the shelf, where it was readily visible.

There are many items in this home that are holding energy. Theoretically, objects can hold on to the previous owner’s energy. To the best of my abilities, I did not feel that any of the objects in the home had negative or demonic attachments.

I believe someone from Sue’s family was coming forward as well. She also may be attached to one of the items in the home. I was receiving that there was a disagreement with Sue’s choice, but this has to be verified by Sue. The disagreement had something to do with religion – cultural or social differences. There were either unresolved issues, or one of the items in the house was an attempt to reconcile the differences.

One way to reduce the activity would be to cleanse the home and the items within the home. A sage or Palo Santo cleansing should suffice. Education and suggestions on how to co-exist with these energies would also be beneficial; Susan and Frank would benefit from reassurance that all is well.

As for Daniel, Frank’s brother -- he pops in from time to time, usually when Frank needs him or is thinking of him.

  • Melissa:

No subjective views of any kind.

  • Ruby:

    • In the master bedroom, she felt a sharp jab in her right lower back above her right hip. Chris then entered the room and asked why the team was talking about her being poked in the back; he'd just gotten a vision of someone being attacked in the back with a tomahawk. Without revealing this to Susan, she told Ruby that one of the health problems she feels certain is connected to the house is that she gets pain like a sharp sting in her back near her right hip, and that progresses to a numbing feeling all down her leg.

    • She felt uneasy near a particular tree in the side yard.

    • In the backyard, she got the feeling of a conflict having to do with religion, perhaps dating back to the 16th or 17th century.

Objective Findings:

  • Photos:

    • No photographic evidence was found.

  • Audio:

    • Spirit Box activity was the only noted form of audio evidence.

  • Video:

    • No video evidence was found.

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 2 – Objective findings include evidence of an EVP in direct relationship with a photo or video. The Spirit Box or other item responds to direct questions with relevancy to the history of the residence and/or the occupants (including the paranormal team).

Susan and Frank’s case was more about the oriental figurine found in the home than the actual paranormal activity itself. The figurine ended up being from her mother and it was in a cabinet in the living room. However, the figurine was placed in the back behind some other decorations. We had her bring the figurine forward so it’s more noticeable.

Most of our evidence was contaminated unfortunately. The clients stayed in the home with us during our investigation and much of their walking around and conversations were caught on our devices. Therefore, we were very limited on actual evidence. It wasn’t until we all performed a Spirit Box Session in the master bedroom that we got some intelligent responses.

We strongly believe that the activity is due to a combination of old, historic land and Susan and Frank’s relatives that have passed on who are trying to give their messages.

Plan:

For now, the case is closed. If activity continues to increase or spike, then we will head back out. We passed the messages on that the spirits gave us, and educated them on how to live with the spirits in the home/on the land.

Private Residence - Ledyard, CT

Investigation Date: September 1, 2016

Investigators: David Bray, Chris O’Connor, Melissa Whited, Emily O’Connor

Client Claims: The client reported several different claims. He would be asleep in his bedroom and would hear his name being called from upstairs. He saw a face appear in a shower curtain and frequently heard footsteps in the house, even though he lives alone.

Subjective Claims:

  • Chris:

    • Before the investigation, he received a vision of the house.

    • Upon meeting the client, an elderly woman presented herself. She stood on his right side.

    • While investigating the basement, he received a vision of clowns laughing along with a “creepy clown.”

    • He wrote down the names “Elizabeth” and “Bette.”

  • David:

    • No subjective claims of any kind.

  • Melissa:

    • No subjective claims of any kind.

  • Emily:

    • No subjective claims of any kind.

Objective Findings:

  • Photos:

    • No photographic evidence was found.

  • Audio:

    • Several intelligent EVPs were captured. A few of the highlights are below:

  • Video:

    • No video evidence was found.

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 1 – Subjective paranormal activity cannot be debunked and at least one piece of evidence has been collected and documented, either by EVP or photo/video.

From the moment we were contacted by the client, we thought this case would be huge. In the months prior, Chris began receiving visions. Whenever this happens, it usually means something serious or important is going on and needs to be addressed. The house was a decent size too, so we knew we needed to bring an extra investigator and as it just so happened, Emily was in town. We set out for the investigation on September 1, 2016.

Throughout the night, not much happened. Several attempts were made to communicate using Spirit Box or EVP, but they were too sporadic. Some intelligent responses were bleeding through, but the logical and skeptical sides of us could chalk them up to probability factors. However, this case proved to be significant for Chris and the client. As it turns out, Chris had a vision of clowns while investigating the basement. This vision was validated when the client told us about his great aunt who was involved in theater and collected anything clown-related. Some of these items were also in the home. He showed us a picture of her and Chris confirmed that it was the woman who presented herself when we arrived. The picture was labeled “Bette.” Chris opened his sketch pad to the woman he drew and labeled “Elizabeth and Beth.” The client was shocked as the picture strongly resembled his sister Elizabeth, but revealed that they call her Beth.

Overall, not much evidence was found other than a few EVPs and some intelligent Spirit Box responses. Most of the team had no subjective claims of any kind. We believe that this case was all about Chris delivering a message to the client. His great aunt wanted him to reconnect with his sister and it is important to her that this is done. It is also interesting to note that the visions Chris received before the investigation happened while he was in New York. As it turned out, the great aunt frequently performed in New York and the sister currently resides there.

Plan:

There is no plan of action as this case is considered closed. We feel that the message that the client needed to receive was, and our part in the story has passed.

Private Residence - North Haven, CT

Investigation Date: June 12, 2017

Investigators: David Bray, Chris O’Connor, Melissa Whited

Client Claims: The client met Chris while he was receiving a MRI scan. She was one of his MRI technologists. It is quite a funny story, but Chris began reading some of the employees there when the client told him about some issues her mother was having regarding the paranormal.

For years, the mother would wake up screaming, terrified. She claimed to see a man in her room, a little girl, and unexplained lights on a daily basis. She was afraid to be home alone and hated going to sleep at night. We were called in to try and discern whether or not this was indeed, paranormal.

Subjective Claims:

  • Chris:

    • He felt the presence of a young girl throughout the house.

    • He had visions of the property before the house was built. He saw many orchards and farmland.

    • He wrote down the name “Lillian Rose.” He described the young girl as having strawberry blonde hair, wearing a dress with flowers on it, and wearing a hat. He believed she belongs to the property.

  • David:

    • He felt the presence of a young girl throughout the house.

    • He received the names “Lilly” and “Rose” on separate occasions.

    • He described the young girl as wearing a dress with flowers on it, white shoes, and wearing a hat.

    • While setting up the IR Camera in the basement, a children’s toy went off and began talking on its own. He was unable to replicate it or find the toy.

    • During an energy session, he felt the presence of a young girl close by. She seemed curious, but was hesitant about coming too close.

  • Melissa:

    • She felt cold spots while investigating the basement.

Objective Findings:

  • Photos:

    • No photographic evidence was found.

  • Audio:

    • No auditory evidence was found.

  • Video:

    • A young girl was captured by our Full Spectrum Camcorder while investigating the basement:

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 3 – Objective findings include evidence of a manifestation (non-orbs) captured by a photo or video. Audible sounds or voices can be heard by human ears and are documented on an audible device.

This was an extremely fascinating case to say the least. It seems that the cases where we have no expectations always manage to be the best ones.

Upon researching the area, we found that the entire area was actually all farmlands and orchards, validating Chris’ vision. We found that the house itself was pretty normal as we did not receive any photographic or auditory evidence of any kind. We did not even think we caught anything at all until we started going over our video recordings. As it just so happened, we missed the evidence the first time around. We were going to rate this case a ‘Grade 0’ based on the fact that we found nothing objective. However, we took a second look as fate would have it and Chris noticed the video evidence posted above, skyrocketing this case to a ‘Grade 3’ rating. The reason we believe this footage is so compelling is because it is not only clear as day, but it validates both the client’s subjective views and our subjective views as well. In the footage, she can be seen peeking out from behind the corner. This is important because of two reasons. First, I was looking for a chair because I was going to try and convince her to sit on his lap, as she seemed to be fascinated with me, but she was being shy (hence peeking out) and wouldn’t come out. Second, Chris was in the room that she was peeking out from and while the footage was caught, he was feeling around the room with his hands because he sensed a presence.

As to what we believe is going on – we believe that the client’s mother has extrasensory abilities. Talking to her led us to believe that she has always had the ability to see and communicate with spirits, but her upbringing deterred her from properly harnessing it. She never had a mentor or was told how to properly use it, leading to fear and confusion. Now that she is getting older, she is most likely losing the ability to control it from a physical perspective. However, we educated the client and her mother on how to deal with spirits when they present themselves and assured them both that there is nothing to be afraid of. We gave them tools to use to stay aware, stay calm, and taught them how to listen for their messages.

Plan:

Just like most of our private residence cases, this one is considered closed unless more issues arise. If everyone in the family does their part, they should be okay as there is nothing malevolent in the house. They are simply spirits of the property who get curious from time to time.

Private Residence - Somers, CT

Investigation Date: July 8, 2017

Investigators: David Bray, Chris O’Connor, Melissa Whited

Client Claims: We were contacted by the client and were told that she believed her eighteen-year-old son was oppressed or possessed by something. He started meditating about eighteen months prior to this and tried to open his chakras. Unfortunately, little research was done and he did not know how to block or protect himself further. He claimed that once he opened his root chakra, the demons flooded him and opened the rest, leaving him vulnerable. He began to hear demons talking to him; telling him to kill himself and that they were in control of his body. This led to a snowball effect of sorts, affecting his schoolwork, his sleeping habits, and his everyday life. All of his medical and psychiatric evaluations came back negative.

An interview with the client was done immediately. We felt that the case needed to be evaluated as soon as possible. Within one week, we were there.

Subjective Claims:

  • Chris:

    • He felt that there was a negative spiritual attachment to the client.

    • The client’s bedroom in particular felt extremely heavy.

    • The client and he were communicating using telepathy. He believes the client knew what he was thinking.

  • David:
    • He also felt that there was a negative spiritual attachment to the client. He believes that the client purposely opened up his chakras and did not understand how to thoroughly protect himself.
    • The client’s bedroom in particular felt extremely heavy.

  • Melissa:
    • She also believes that the client had a negative spiritual attachment.

    • The client’s bedroom in particular felt extremely heavy.

Objective Findings:

  • Photos:

    • No photographic evidence was found.

  • Audio:
    • A couple EVPs were captured during our interview, but most of them were inaudible. Listen to the EVP below, as we believe it says, “I said you will be mine:”

  • Video:

    • No video evidence was found. However, our camcorder did mysteriously die two minutes into the interview.

Assessment:

Upon meeting the client and his family, we got a sense of the dynamics of the home. We felt that he did have a negative spiritual attachment; likely from indirectly opening his chakras. Neither of us had a sense that there was a demonic force attached to him.

However, it is important to note that after an energetic reading, some facts did not match. Some of the chakras that he believed were open were closed, and vice versa. We were unable to get a physical description of the entities inhabiting his chakras and we were unable to get any relevant names as well. His knowledge of the chakra system was limited, as most of what he was implying was not factual.

After the initial interview, we sat down to conduct a chakra balancing energy session with the client. We formed a circle (of trust) with him and connected our hands to seal off the circle from negative energy. The connection of the hands formed an energetic seal and allowed the current to travel freely. The client may not have been aware of which chakras were imbalanced, but we knew. I led the session, starting at the root chakra and working through the rest one at a time. The client would not trust us or let go until we reached the heart chakra. Here, his aura cried out for help, as he would not let go of Chris’ hand. This was a subconscious cue, as we don’t believe the client was even aware he was doing it.

But after the meditation and chakra balancing, he felt lighter. From our perspective, it worked. A second energy reading told us that he was now balanced and his aura was brighter. We assured him that whatever he believed was attacking him was not in control.

Paranormal Level: Grade 1 - Subjective paranormal activity cannot be debunked and at least one piece of evidence has been collected and documented, either by EVP or photo/video.

This case received a ‘Grade 1’ rating because we could not definitively prove anything. The majority of the EVPs we got were inaudible. However, the one Class A EVP was relevant to the subjective claims of the client.

Plan:

We are currently still in contact with the client. We recommended that he continue to seek medical advice and psychiatric counseling while addressing the issue he believes he is facing with the paranormal. We have given him instructions and exercises to follow that will continue to assist him in balancing his aura. As long as he stays positive and sticks to the plan, he will find himself on the path of healing.

Update:

We were told that the client was diagnosed with a psychiatric condition and that he is continuing medical and spiritual counseling. If more paranormal issues arise, we will be there. For now, it is important that the family sticks to his treatment.

Empath Report

We first met Kevin and Ada, of Somers, CT, at one of our “The Truth Behind Investigating the Unknown” presentations. At the end of our lecture, Chris ended up giving Ada a reading and he was asked to perform a private reading at their home.

Several weeks later, Chris drove over to Kevin and Ada’s house to perform the reading. Chris wanted me to attend, but I had to work that day, so I told him to let me know how it went.

After Chris’ visit, he came back and told us that we had to go back. Another visit was necessary for two reasons: a house cleansing needed to be done, and we had to investigate the barn on the property. So, we booked the return visit.

Prior to the case, I was told no information from Chris other than an empath was needed. When we arrived, I got a sense of the surroundings. Kevin, Ada, and her daughter live next door to Kevin’s mother and father. There is an old cemetery just over the hill behind their house, and the barn is located in the backyard of the parents’ house. The barn seemed old, but from a distance, I couldn’t get an accurate read on it. Other than that, the property seemed positive in nature.

After introductions, we sat with the family and talked. I picked up on the sense that there was an interesting dynamic between Ada and her daughter. I opted to speak with Kevin and Ada separately, so I headed downstairs to do so one at a time while Chris stayed upstairs with the other. I discovered that there was a family history of Santeria and that their daughter was in Puerto Rico for a time, on her own. At one point, a private investigator was even hired to assist the family with locating her.

After reading both Ada and her daughter’s chakras, I could see that they were on two different pages with their energies. For example, Ada would be overstimulated or jitsu in her throat chakra (the center for expression and communication) when her daughter would be deficient or kyo.

Energy is much like anything else in life, it prefers balance. If one person’s energy level is too high whereas the others is too low, it can lead to clashes, fights, and general disagreements. If both parties want to communicate effectively, then Ada needs to come down a notch and her daughter needs to come up a notch and express her feelings more. Once their energies are closer together, they will balance out accordingly.

Please note that I am skipping a majority of the empathic reading due to client confidentiality as it contains a lot of personal information.

Once the readings were done, we began the house blessing. Contrary to popular belief, you do not need a priest or religious clergy member to do this. If your faith is true, you can accomplish anything in His name.

During the house cleansing procedure, we used Holy Water, prayers, and good intent, for that is truly all that is needed. We walked the house room by room until we felt the energy shift into a more positive light. When we were done, we walked over to the parents’ house next door to meet back up with Kevin and Ada, who were waiting for us to finish up.

When we arrived, I noticed a bluish color emanating from Pam’s throat chakra. Now, unbeknownst to me, the first time Chris visited, he also performed a reading on them and noted that Pam’s aura was presenting itself as blue as well.

We walked over to the barn that Chris said we had to investigate. It was very old and there was music playing. I was told that Pam plays music for the spirits in the barn, which she believes are children. Upon entering, I noted certain words which came to me: loft, accident, purple, and game. Of course, in the moment I had no idea what these words meant, but over the course of the night, it was put together quite nicely.

Pam led us to what she calls the “secret room.” It is actually a loft which houses all of her Halloween decorations. She has it made up beautifully which I can genuinely appreciate since Halloween is by far the best holiday. So, we all sat down, grabbed the spirit box and audio recorder, and began an EVP session in the secret room.

Chris immediately began picking up on a boy he called Josiah. Now, prior to beginning our session, I took note of two energies in particular, a young male and a young female. When Chris started asking Josiah to come forward, I knew I was on the right path.

While Chris was asking questions to the spirits present, I began to take pictures. We will do this to help validate any communication we may receive through the spirit box or audio recorder. Once Chris asked Josiah to come forward, I caught a glimpse of a light anomaly. The photo was taken in burst mode and I could not recreate the photo in any way (Evidence 1).

As Chris continued his questioning, I couldn’t help but feel as if there were children present, playing a game of “Hide and Seek.” This feeling brought me back to the word game that I received upon entering the barn. Did Josiah die here while playing a game? Did he fall from the loft? I kept visualizing a boy falling onto stacks of hay. But still, I had no idea who he was, or what Chris knew about him.

Suddenly, Chris asked if a young girl named Heather would come forward. My first reaction was “Who?” I had no idea who this girl was, but figured she was the young female spirit I sensed earlier. When the spirit box began to chime back responses in the voice of a little girl, I put two and two together. Heather was Pam’s daughter who died from leukemia many years ago. I believe she was around 7 or 8. She greeted us with “Hi” and a “Hi Mom” to her mother. At one point, she even seemed to be telling Josiah that “It’s okay” to come forward and speak with us.

However, none of these responses came until Chris asked, “Heather, what’s your favorite color?” - and I already knew the response. I received it earlier. Not moments later, Heather responded with “Purple.”

A little later on, Pam asked Heather if she was playing with friends on the other side, to which she responded that she was. I started taking more pictures and captured a similar photo to the one I got earlier, only this time it was right on Pam’s back (Evidence 2).

Evidence 1

To us, this photo is just further proof that Heather came forward that night.

Once our goodbyes were said to Heather and Josiah, we exited the barn and the three of us went outside. Come to find out, Chris believes Josiah was a boy who was playing “Hide and Seek” or “Tag” with his

sister when he climbed up a rope with a pulley, possibly to get away. He lost his grip, looked down, and noticed stacks of hay on the ground and thought he would be safe.

However, what he didn’t know was that there was a hay grapple hook laying in the stacks and fell onto it. He died later the next day.

Chris’ vision of this incident is to me, validation that the feelings and words I received were accurate. It is quite amazing how two separate people with different gifts can draw similar conclusions about events that may have happened hundreds of years ago. In this case, Josiah probably lived during the early 19th century.

Once we reconvened with the family, it was evident that we made a positive impression. We can say without a shadow of a doubt that we are extremely grateful for the opportunity to do this line of work and we are so glad we could help to reunite a grieving mother with her daughter, even for a brief moment.

It was and is a nice change from the majority of cases we receive – mostly dealing with malevolent entities and confusing dynamics. We are truly blessed to have met this family and be able to work with them, and we wish them well with all their future endeavors.

Medium Report 1

I arrived at approximately 5:00 PM and we all met at Ada’s in-laws, Frank and Pam’s home. The introductions were done, and the session began.

Prior to the visit, I received visions of the number 5. Also, as the number 5 showed backwards. I experienced two physical signs on my way to Ada’s. One, I had an odd coughing fit. It came out of nowhere and lasted a short time. I also experienced arm pain.

I had asked about the physical signs and no one admitted to any of the symptoms. After the reading, Ada confessed for Frank and Pam. Pam has had a continuing cough in which Ada has been insisting she get checked out. Frank was experiencing arm pain due to a fall earlier in the day.

While speaking with Pam, she emanated a blue aura. The blue aura relates to the throat and thyroid. Cool, calm, and collected. Caring, loving, love to help others, a sensitive, and an intuitive. She also had blue butterflies above her head. The butterfly itself indicates rebirth or a transcendent period in one’s life. Blue butterflies, in some cultures, are believed to be wish granters as well.

The first spirit visitor was Frank’s stepmother, Ann. She seemed annoyed because there were no tulips.  She wanted to know what happened to the tulips. Apparently, Frank mowed them down. Ann also made a stern statement to Pam saying, “Let him eat what he wants.” Pam has been watching Frank’s diet under medical advice.

Ada’s family started to come forward after. One of the aunts were claiming to me, “We want our turn.  You are supposed to be here for us.”

Ada’s aunts and mother were all speaking over each other. They all feel that Ada needs to move her life path to something else. She needs to work with families, she needs to be a nurse, she needs to be more.  Then Ada’s dad stepped forward. Ada’s dad appeared shorter but very fit. A strong person in strength and in personality. His word was gospel. The women in the family could make suggestions but when it came down to it, Ada’s dad made the decisions. He stated, “Ada had a legal mind, she needs to do that.”

I received a vision of the number 25. The number 25 was associated with a sports number and a young male. The number 25 was Ada’s son’s basketball team number. He was mad because he could not have the number 23 (Michael Jordan’s number) so his coach gave him the closest number instead. Ada’s mom watches him play basketball.

Ada’s mom also asked about the young female’s (granddaughter) lower leg injury. I believe she also has the number 25 for a team number. The statements from Ada’s mom regarding her grandchildren are validations that she visits and checks in from time to time.

I think the most important person who came forward was Heather. Heather is Pam and Frank’s daughter that passed from cancer as a young girl.

The vision started off with the color of purple, lilac to be exact. I asked what the meaning of the color was and both Pam and Frank indicated that it was their daughter’s favorite color. Heather showed herself as a vibrant little girl. She was twirling her hair with her fingers and was downright sassy. Pam validated that I was describing Heather. She always led the way. When there were games to play, she was the leader.  Heather wanted to thank her parents for keeping her dolls. She was particularly happy that Ada’s daughter Trinity plays with them. Heather does interact with Trinity often and is looking forward to when Ada’s youngest daughter can come and play too.

Heather wanted her mom to know that when she feels a brush across her face or when her dad feels pressure on his lap, that’s her. Heather has never left them. She knows Heaven and she walks with the angels.

This reading was awesome. I hope that the messages I received and delivered were helpful. The family has asked for some further assistance and my team and I are happy to help.

Medium Report 2

We were asked to come back to perform a house cleansing/blessing.  Also, to speak directly to their oldest daughter. Ada stated that the home seemed unbalanced and felt it was affecting her daughter.

My intention was for Dave to sit with their daughter and use his gifts as a psychic empath and energy worker. That was not to be. Ada’s daughter was very standoffish towards the group. She is 17 and displayed typical teenage behavior. I was able to speak with her and little by little she opened up. She asked a lot of questions about the paranormal and my gift of mediumship. Once she was into the conversation, she jumped on a social media site and began to brag about having a paranormal group at her home.

While I was speaking with Ada’s daughter, Dave and Melissa toured the home given by Ada. I am going to refer you to Dave’s report for his findings.

It was time to perform the house cleansing and blessing. We asked for the family to go next door to Kevin’s parent’s house and we would meet them there. We went through the house and blessed it with religious prayer and Holy Water. Once that was completed, we joined Ada and Kevin at his parents’ home.

The second part of our visit was to investigate the 200-year-old barn that was on the property. It was a large building with three specific areas. There was Frank’s workshop in the front of the barn. There was a large open area that was used for storage and there was a loft area. The loft area is where Pam has set up an area to display her collection of Halloween and other spooky items. She also plays children’s music for any potential spirits.

Melissa, Dave, and I went to the loft and was joined by Pam and Ada. We didn’t go with much equipment. Just a recorder, spirit box, and a video camera. Dave and Mel used the camera from their cell phones as well.

I went to the rail and instantly saw a male spirit come forward and he told me his name was Josiah. Josiah was a young man from the early 19th century, maybe 17 or 18 years old. Josiah died due to a freak accident. He was running from his sister in a game of tag or hide and seek. He attempted to climb up a rope that was on a pulley. He lost his grip and fell backwards into a hay pile. He thought he would be safe, but he fell on a large hook used to carry hay bales. The injury did not kill him right away, but he died the next day.

There was also spirit box activity. Please refer to the evidence report. However, I do want to mention one part of the spirit box session.

Heather, Pam’s daughter came forward. I asked Pam if Heather was allowed in the loft and she stated yes. I asked Heather to come closer so that we may speak to her. She seemed intimidated at first, but she eventually came close. There were a few attempts to get her to speak through the spirit box. It was when I asked Heather, “What was your favorite color?” that she replied, “Purple.” This made all of us very excited, especially Pam. It was more validation that Heather visits her parents. Heather was also able to say, “I love you” and “Goodbye.” Please refer to the evidence report for the full conversation.

Again, this was an amazing evening for our team and more so for Pam and Ada. They were able to hear Heather and found comfort that she was near.

Investigation Date: October 22, 2016

Investigators: David Bray, Chris O’Connor, Melissa Whited

Client Claims: The clients contacted us as more of a means to investigate the possibility on whether or not their home had spirits in it. They would occasionally feel like they were being watched and would hear footsteps in the hallway.

Subjective Claims:

  • Chris:

    • He experienced chest pain upon arriving at the property.

    • During a Circle of Light exercise, the client’s aunt appeared to him with purple butterflies.

  • David:

    • He exhibited feelings of being watched while doing a solo basement session.

    • During an energy session between himself and the client, they witnessed the flashlight on the walkie-talkie abruptly turn off. This was deemed unexplained and could not be debunked.

  • Melissa:

    • No subjective evidence of any kind.

Objective Findings:

  • Photos:

    • No photographic evidence was found.

  • Audio:

    • A couple intelligent EVPs were captured during the investigation:

  • Video:

    • Footage was caught of the basement door being slightly nudged open. No one was around it at the time and there were no drafts or windows open:

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 1 – Subjective paranormal activity cannot be debunked and at least one piece of evidence has been collected and documented, either by EVP or photo/video.

As stated previously, this case was more of a validation rather than an investigation. Our goal for the night was to find if there were any spirits on the property or not.

When Chris arrived at the home, he was experiencing chest pain. This came back up during our ‘Circle of Light’ energy session. When the client’s aunt came through to him, it was told to us that she died of lung cancer. We believe that this validates his chest pain. Chris also saw purple butterflies which were significant to the client and the relationship to her aunt.

We were unable to debunk whether or not there was legitimate residual activity, but we did catch some intelligent EVPs and the Spirit Box was also active. Because of this and the video evidence we captured of the door nudging open, we are giving this case a ‘Grade 1’ rating. There is further research that can be done on the surrounding properties as well. The land in the area used to be orchards, but is now a wooded region. We believe there are more spirits there that are not necessarily of the house, but of the land.

Plan:

As for right now, this case is currently closed. We feel that we validated the client’s claims of paranormal activity.

Private Residence - Wallingford, CT

Investigation Date: August 23, 2018

Investigators: David Bray, Chris O’Connor, Melissa Whited

Guest Investigators: Ruby Larisch (Interview), Malina Laro

Client Claims: Julie, of Wallingford, CT, contacted E.C.P.S. via phone call. She had various claims of paranormal activity including seeing shadows, experiencing strong feelings of being watched or followed, electrical disturbances, hearing unexplained tapping or knocking noises, and being touched by an unseen presence. She claimed that forks and spoons were going missing as well. Likewise, her twin daughters also claimed to experience similar activity, with one of the girls having recurring nightmares.

The team was told about a possible object in the home that made Julie feel uncomfortable whenever she tried to take it down. The object in question was in fact, a wind chime that belonged to a previous owner, who might have died on the property.

David and Ruby performed a preliminary interview of the family and property and an investigation date was planned shortly after.

Subjective Claims:

  • Chris:

    • While in one of the daughters’ rooms, he had a vision of a “gray shape” that seemed to move like how a lava lamp moves. It would be fluent as it moved around the house, sometimes taking on a human appearance.

    • He had a vision of a middle-aged woman whom was trying to reach someone in the house, but the person wasn’t listening to her. He sensed she was not from the area but had a purpose for being there. She claimed to have died a horrible death and was from the west coast.

  • David:
    • During the preliminary interview, he was drawn to a set of rosary beads hanging on the dresser mirror. They were warm to the touch and were rocking back and forth ever-so slightly.

    • He sensed the presence of a middle-aged male and female in the house.

    • He felt the woods in the backyard had some significance to paranormal ongoings but did not feel it was related to the case.

    • The closet in one of the daughters’ rooms gave off an indifferent energy.

    • Footsteps and creaking noises were heard during the preliminary interview.

  • Melissa:

    • No subjective views of any kind.

  • Ruby:

    • She heard footsteps and creaking noises during the preliminary interview.

    • She felt cautious while approaching the main bathroom in the home.

    • During the interview, she observed a set of rosary beads rocking back and forth.

  • Malina:

    • She received the name “John” during a Spirit Box session.

Objective Findings:

  • Photos:

    • No photographic evidence was found.

  • Audio:

    • Several EVPs were found, but the highlight was found during the preliminary interview. A male spirit can be heard telling David to "Walk over here," while he was in the hallway. Shortly after, he walked over to the kitchen. Check it out:

This case was a difficult one due to many factors. It seems we were destined to struggle from the start. Our guest investigator, Ruby, who joined me on the preliminary interview, was supposed to come with us the night of the investigation but the universe had other plans and she couldn’t make it. However, we figured all would be okay since we also had another guest joining us for the night, a girl named Malina who is currently in school for broadcasting. Once again though, the universe won, and her camera didn’t work when we arrived at the house.

The scene was semi-chaotic upon arrival as well as the client and her family were leaving the house. Equipment set-up became a bit of a hassle since our energies were so jumbled by that point. Not to mention, it was a Thursday night and we all worked full-days. Exhaustion was already setting in.

When Julie and family left, they also left their dog with us. Although sometimes this isn’t a problem, the dog didn’t take kindly to Chris, and barked at him all night. This contaminated a lot of our evidence and made gathering information difficult. We were able to investigate for only two hours or so before the clients returned. In that time frame, we managed to capture enough evidence subjectively and objectively to draw a solid conclusion on what we believed was going on in the home.

Throughout the night, our K2 Meter, flashlights, and Spirit Box all responded intelligently to the spirits present. We gathered that there was a male and a female figure whom were related to one another. The female spirit communicated more than the male. She claimed to be from Oregon and stated that she wanted to “make amends” with Julie (it should be noted that we did receive some conflicting answers to these statements, but the overall evidence points toward our conclusion). We did not receive her name, but the man did ask “Where is John Paul?” We had no recollection of a John Paul either until Julie told us that that is her brother’s name, whom she hasn’t talked to in years.

We also could not directly identify who was stealing utensils in the home, or if the spirit of a former owner was there. Our guess is “no,” since we received no responses and did not pick up anything subjectively on her. The object that was left behind when Julie and family moved in was a set of wind chimes but gave off no negative energy whatsoever.

The set of rosary beads that myself and Ruby were drawn to during the preliminary interview, as it turned out, had a story behind them. They were Julie’s mother’s rosaries, and they were put on her while she was dying. She was living in Oregon, was drinking, and accidentally lit herself on fire – an extremely tragic way to go. This story not only explains why the rosaries were warm to the touch, but also who was in the home. We received definitive verification that Julie’s mother was in fact, the spirit inhabiting the house. We believe she wants to give a message to her daughter and granddaughters, but they aren’t listening to her.

Julie and her mother were not on good terms and it was hard for Julie to believe or accept that her mother could be in the home watching over her. Often, paranormal activity is rooted in deep-seated problems or trauma that are hard to face, but the overall outcome can be a positive one if acceptance and forgiveness are found. Julie also confirmed via listening to an EVP that her father is the male spirit in the house.

The “gray shape” that Chris drew is most likely a psychokinetic manifestation caused by the two daughters in the home, both being 15 years old. Their father is currently away on active duty, and including the mother, there are three feminine energies mixing and churning constantly while he is not present to “balance” out the home.

Plan:

We recommended that Julie write a letter to her mother to get everything off her chest and to either burn it or throw it into the ocean after. She will donate the rosaries to a church and will get rid of the wind chimes left behind by the former owner. Once these steps are done, things should begin to calm down. If Julie can find forgiveness in her heart, her mother will “go away” and will remain solely as a guide when she is in need.

Investigation Date: September 24, 2016

Investigators: David Bray, Chris O’Connor, Melissa Whited

Guest Investigators: Anna Smith

Client Claims: The client called us with urgency and claimed that the new home he moved into was haunted. He felt a presence as if he was being watched and also claimed that he was being attacked in the middle of the night, distinctly around 2-3 AM. He told us that his children and his wife witnessed him being pulled off the couch while he was taking a nap and that he had pictures of a hand-shaped bruise on his arm. They would frequently get headaches and the air felt heavy to them. While arriving home from work one day, he discovered that all of the kitchen cabinets were opened. The closet and several doors in the household would seemingly open by themselves as well.

Subjective Claims:

  • Chris:

    • While investigating the basement, he received a vision of an older male who identified himself as an Irish American.

    • During a “circle of light” session, he received a vision of an older man sitting in the living room wondering who we were and why we were in his house.

    • He heard footsteps coming down the hallway during a “circle of light” session.

    • Him and David were able to successfully transfer visions to one another during an energy session.

  • David:

    • He felt the presence of several spirits in the basement.

    • During the interview, upon investigating the basement, he smelled sulfur.

    • During a “circle of light” session, he heard footsteps coming down the hallway.

    • Him and Chris were able to successfully transfer visions to one another during an energy session.

  • Melissa:

    • During the interview, while investigating the basement, she also smelled sulfur.

    • She heard footsteps coming down the hall during a “circle of light” session.

  • Anna:

    • No subjective views of any kind.

Objective Findings:

  • Photos:

    • No photographic evidence was found.

  • Audio;

    • Several EVPs were captured during the investigation:

  • Video:

    • No video evidence was found.

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 1 – Subjective paranormal activity cannot be debunked and at least one piece of evidence has been collected and documented, either by EVP or photo/video.

During the initial interview phase of the investigation, both myself and Melissa smelled sulfur in the basement. Since sulfur is correlated regarding demonic hauntings, this had the team focused and prepared, even more so than usual.

We were able to debunk a couple different claims, such as how some of the doors may be opening or closing on their own or why they were getting headaches and waking up in the middle of the night. As it turns out, the electrical box was in the basement, directly underneath their bedroom floor. The K2 Meter was consistent in reading past 20 mG when we put it on their mattress. We advised them to move their bed and/or change bedrooms entirely.

The client showed us the picture of a hand-shaped bruise on his arm, but by the time he took the photo, the bruise was already faded and mostly healed. Therefore, we cannot determine it as a legitimate form of evidence or say that it was from a paranormal cause.

We’re classifying this case as a ‘Grade 1’ rating only because of the lack of photographic and video evidence. Although we did obtain several EVPs and the Spirit Box was responding intelligently, there is no correlation between them and other evidence. We had subjective experiences ourselves, but we also learned that an older man did die in the house and that he used to sit in the living room. This validated our subjective visions. However, we could not debunk all of the client’s claims either, so this case is put to rest.

We believe that the older man who died in the home was the main cause of activity. He is possibly unaware that he is dead and is therefore causing problems. It is also possible that the client brought an attachment home since he travels for work. Either way, we gave them the education and the tools to use to deal with spirits who may be problematic and before we left, we demanded that the spirits of the home leave or play by the rules.

On the night before Halloween, I had to go back to the home as the family stated that activity was increasing. Chris and Melissa could not go with me as it was 1 AM and they live over an hour away. When I arrived, I found the clients sprawled out and sleeping in the living room. They were clearly shaken by something. I investigated the basement and the rest of the house and performed an energetic cleansing of the home. I said prayers for the family and the place felt lighter when I left.

Plan:

We have not heard back from the client since October of 2016. However, we did discover that some personal issues arose with the family and we are not even sure if they are still living in the home.

Update:

We are unsure if the family is still in the home, but unfortunately, one of the family members is now in prison. Case closed.

Investigation Date: January 5, 2018

Investigators: David Bray, Chris O’Connor, Melissa Whited

Client Claims: We were contacted by the clients regarding possible paranormal activity in their apartment. They claimed that they were being woken up by a man and a child and would see them moving around corners at night. They seemed to appear as shadows.

 Subjective Claims:

  • Chris:

    • Weeks before the investigation, he asked Melissa if there was a male suffering from PTSD involved with the case.

    • On the ride up to the client’s house, he received the names “Stephanie” and “Stacey” and a vision of feathers. At first, they were associated with angels and the message was that the investigation would be peaceful. The feathers then turned from angelic feathers to Native American feathers.

    • Upon entering the apartment complex, he received a vision of a woman falling down the main stairs.

    • During the bedroom energy session, the bedroom door opened on its own and he saw a young girl dressed for bed.

    • He received the name “Carla.”

  • David:

    • Upon arrival, he picked up on the energy of an older man with a mustache.

    • He received the name “Michael” while sitting in the bedroom.

    • He experienced a severe headache on the left side, shortness of breath (SOB), and anxiety.

  • Melissa:

    • No subjective experiences of any kind.

Objective Findings:

  • Photos:

    • No photographic evidence was found.

  • Audio:

    • No auditory evidence was found.

  • Video:

    • The bedroom DVR caught the door opening by itself on two separate occasions. Although we believe we have debunked how this occurred, we could not replicate it exactly. Therefore, we are classifying this evidence as “unexplained.”

Assessment:

We headed out to Waterbury on a very icy night, as the roads were terrible. Nonetheless, we made it to the client’s home alive and well and instantly started receiving visions. I picked up on the energy of an older gentleman with a mustache and the letter “M,” which I later determined to be “Michael.”

We performed an EVP and Spirit Box session in the bedroom and received some intelligent responses but did not get much in terms of objective evidence. While meditating, the bedroom door directly behind me began to open on its own. We contributed this to an open window in the kitchen as it was extremely windy that night. However, the door opened a second time as well. Although we were able to debunk how this might have occurred, we could not replicate it exactly. Therefore, it is being considered “unexplained.”

All night, I began experiencing a headache on my left side, shortness of breath, and anxiety. Chris also had a headache on his left side. Come to find out, the client’s mother passed away when she fell and hit the left side of her head. The man with the mustache was named “Maurice,” which explains the “M,” but does not explain “Michael.” Maurice died in the apartment and was a previous tenant. Michael is the client’s son, who lived in the apartment for years.

Paranormal Level: Grade 1 - Subjective paranormal activity cannot be debunked and at least one piece of evidence has been collected and documented, either by EVP or photo/video.

This case received a ‘Grade 1’ rating because we could not definitively prove or disprove any of the claims. We received no auditory or photographic evidence and the only video evidence we had was the door opening on two separate occasions, which we cannot deem as paranormal in nature. It is likely that whoever is in the home is trying to get a message across to the current owners. They seem to be harmless but are growing impatient and causing more activity.

Plan:

We are still in contact with the client. They have been instructed to listen to the spirits and try to see what messages they want to give. If the spirits do not listen or want to behave, then they can put their feet down and cause the activity to stop should they so choose.

Update:

We are no longer in contact with the client. Activity was supposedly ongoing and they called in another team to cleanse the apartment. However, it should be noted that opioids and marijuana were both factors in determining true paranormal activity in this case. Regardless, we hope the clients reached a resolution and wish them the best.

Private Residence - Waterbury, CT

Investigation Date: April 14, 2018

Investigators: David Bray, Chris O’Connor, Melissa Whited

Client Claims: Hailey contacted E.C.P.S. regarding paranormal activity in her home. She claimed that someone watches her and follows her around the house, particularly at night. She also felt that this entity was bothering her, as it would talk through Alexa (app) and present itself at times.

David and Melissa visited Hailey at her grandparent’s house, where she currently resides, and conducted an interview. After a 4-hour visit, David concluded that Hailey was exhibiting empathic traits and was therefore, more prone to experiencing paranormal activity. Due to traumatic events in Hailey’s past and current ongoings within the home, Hailey is in a vulnerable state and her energy is easier to manipulate than usual. Since she does not have a belief system, Hailey has no means of truly protecting herself at this moment in time.

Subjective Claims:

  • Chris:

    • Several spirits presented themselves throughout the night as part of the land. They were of Native American ethnicity.

    • Birds of prey appeared.

    • An older man came forward.

    • Feelings of being watched.

  • David:
    • An older man came forward wearing a suit and a hat.
    • Feelings of deception, lying, and manipulation.

    • Feelings of being watched.

  • Melissa:
    • Feelings of being watched; cold spots.

Objective Findings:

  • Photos:

    • No photographic evidence of any kind.

  • Audio:
    • Several inaudible EVPs were noted, but are too quiet to make out.

  • Video:
    • No video evidence of any kind.

Assessment:

Paranormal Level: Grade 1 – Subjective paranormal activity cannot be debunked and at least one piece of evidence has been collected and documented, either by EVP or photo/video.

This case receives a ‘Grade 1’ rating because there is not enough evidence to support the client’s claims. However, David and Chris performed an energy session in Hailey’s bedroom, where she experiences the most activity, and found some subjective explanations. With David’s claims that someone was lying or deceiving the team, and Chris’ visions of birds of prey, the two visions came together and E.C.P.S. believes that a shapeshifter entity had attached itself to Hailey’s aura. There are not in fact, several spirits. There is one, who continually changes his appearance to suit his needs.

Plan:

Since shapeshifters are from Native American origins, it may be a good idea to have a shamanistic healer come in to remove the attachment. However, if Hailey does not believe in the power of the healing, it will not work, or the entity will re-attach itself in time.

Private Residence - Windsor, CT

Investigation Date: June 24, 2017

Investigators: David Bray, Chris O’Connor, Melissa Whited

Client Claims: The client reached out to us regarding some paranormal ongoings in her apartment. In the middle of the night, she claimed to see a burned man with flesh and innards hanging from his body. He smelled of charred meat. She also claimed that the closet door would open in the middle of the night and that a man would stand there and watch her sleep. Strong feelings of being watched were common in the household.

Subjective Claims:

  • Chris:

    • Weeks prior to the investigation, he received messages that the residents of the home were having paranormal trouble in the bathroom. He also received a message that someone conjured something into the home. He received visions of an older gentleman and a badly injured soldier.

    • As we were introduced to the family, Chris states that the father was present. After a short time, the soldier presented himself. There were two other spirits that presented but did not identify themselves

  • David:

    • Received a vision of a red candle, the word “love,” and fire.

  • Melissa:

    • She felt cold sensations and was touched several times while doing an energy session in the master bedroom.

We started out this investigation with high hopes, but quickly became frustrated. Chris received a vision that some conjuring was done in the household and that is what started the paranormal activity. It is fairly often that we find cases where people are messing with things they don’t fully understand and invite something in unknowingly. In the middle of the night, I received a vision of a lit red candle and the word “love.” Red candles are used for love spells in certain pagan rituals. This vision backed up Chris’ vision of a conjuring. We also took information the client gave us and applied it to these visions, further validating our belief that love spells were being used in the home. When I was in the living room, I was drawn to the bookcase and two books evidently jumped out at me (not literally). Upon further inspection, there were two bookmarked pages, both containing love spells. We were not told this information beforehand and the client denied all claims of performing magic in the home. It was not until our evidence reveal that she admitted to performing the spells.

The burned man that the client kept seeing was validated as legitimate and subjectively, we were able to pick up that he was an Afghan soldier who was tortured and murdered. This information aligns with information that was given to us from the client and her family. Further details are confidential and cannot be disclosed.

Overall, we found no objective evidence. Therefore, this case remains a ‘Grade 1.’

Plan:

Case closed. Unless further problems arise, the family has all the information they need to take care of the situation at hand. As long as they stop performing rituals to manipulate free will, they will be fine and activity will cease.
